hi thanks so much for this video. i want to spruce up my live performances and initially thought of getting a pedal for my ukes. i have the kala acacia tenor with misi also and a mainland mahogany tenor with misi. This video has made my mind up to get this. There are not many bits on google showing you can use a uke with the harmony g xt so thank you
This has gotta be the best "freakin'" uke performance, EVER!...this guys so damn good that it made me a little "sick".....and, those CHORDS he's playing!...I wonder if its all written, or what!..this is an extremely TALENTED uke player!...and whats also very interesting here is that he makes it look all so SIMPLE!.. which its not!..
Again, an extremely talented performer. and, all I can say is, thank God he's not playing that "hawaaian" stuff. he certainly does strumming fantastic here!...
Sir i could not resist but to ask you if this ukelele comes with built in pick up from the factory? If not i assume the pick up is installed later to this uke. What model pick up is it if so. Also, i couldn't help but notice that nice neck uke strap. Would you be so kind to tell me who makes those or where i can get that particular one you have. Thanks for your help!
Just a question: Did you have to separately install the Mi-Si Acoustic Trio pickup or did the Tenor come in packaged with it? If it was installed, how did you do it?
I have two of these units, and they're great. They're easy to program and easy to use. Whenever I use it in church, people ask me how I'm able to sing with myself.
You may have already mentioned this, I did read what you said but if you pre-answered this question, it went over my head ;) ... How does it "know" when to leave your voice alone and when to harmonize?
@LifeByMuse It's a "stomp box", meaning that I basically step on a button to toggle the effect on and off. This is definitely the trickiest part for me because I've never used those things before. :) As far as open mics, I try to do them at LEAST once a week, but have had technical issues with my Uke pickup and just got it back last week...and this week (being a holiday) several of them are canceled.
Wow, Bob, this sounds so great! What an amazing tool! So, when's your next open mic night? I wanna come be an Everly brother! I think I have a moustache around here somewhere ;)
Very nice. You have a hint of a nice James Taylor quality to your voice. Love your choice of music. The harmonies are good. Do you have control over how loud they are relative to your vocals? Don't you think reverb is tricky? Here in the video it verges on being (to my ears) a little too much, but I'm sure in a 'live' situation it is just right. I edit my audio in Mac's Garageband and I find I get the best results using the male vocal R and B which ought to be too much reverb but it seems ok.
@simpletunes2 Yes, you have full control over the volume of the harmonies. I really should think about doing more of a full demo of the thing rather than just this one setting.
I actually like a lot of reverb especially for the style of things I like to do. I know that it's a bit much for some people, but what can I say? :) Of course you do have full control over the amount of each effect as well, and as mentioned, each effect has three different overall settings.
wow! im a fan..

@popitn2nd The uke was fitted with a MiSi Trio pickup. Kala did the installation.
The neck strap I got from Uke Republic ukerepublic. com

I am your biggest fan Bob... I would suggest (as a long time harmony guy) it sounds more alluring when you turn the harmony volume down a little...

@idrnoel I actually had it sent to Kala to install after the fact. It did not come equipped.
