  • That's not evan edited

  • I love the re-edit. Especially at the end where the outpost is really some kind of roach motel for humans....

  • One of the few re-edits on youtube that is good.

  • i love how diz runs out of ammo quicker than the guys who were on the wall

  • I love the tanker that busts through the wall. It's all like "Oh hai. Nice place ya got."

  • Oh shit a Zurg rush!....Anyone?

  • MINES ABD AIRSTRIKES!!!!

  • If the military knew that many amounts of bugs would swarm that outpost then I would of gave it at least more than six towers with them having more than just two deployed turrets...

  • @Sp3ctr354 It was an outpost...

  • @Sp3ctr354 And much heavier firepower.

  • OMG zerglings =(

  • give me the fucking radio .... BROKEN ARROW!!!! I SAY AGAIN BROKEN ARROW !! LOL

  • You can say that bugs are evolving to be tougher and so on (it is improbable that they would be able do so in only few years). But in that case why they don't evolve to be unafected by electricity? Humans use that a lot against them.

  • There is one thing I don't get. First film is good. The book was better but film was Ok too. But at the end of first movie , you see how they invented better weapons against bugs , where on short burst completely anihilate the bug. But in second movies , their guns have even smaller efect on bugs then in first movie. And In third movie bullets appear to have almost no effect and 5 grenades is enough to kill only one basic bug.

  • @iglidor Well bugs modifiy, improve and create new offensive and defensiv capabilties all the time as well. Ammunition that killed a bug might in 3 hits might not even harm a bug 10 months later.

"it is improbable that they would be able do so in only few years)."

Bugs evolution is driven by a central intelligence, not by randomness or nature. Bugs can change and adapt themselves just as humans can change and adapt new technologies. At least in most of the games and movies.

  • @Wylff Ok , I can accept that bugs would evolve. Altought there must be some limist for them to be resistant against projectiles it is posible. But why they don't evolve to be imunne against electricity? It is not so hard. If you can make your shell 50* tougher than before, why not make it even immune against electricity? Also , how can bugs move from planet to planet? By somehow shooting asteroids to these planets? Humans had defense against asteroids from their first film already.

  • @iglidor

They can shoot massive egg clusters into space.

They can use some form of space ships to transport adult bugs too that goes almost as fast as human ships.

"Humans had defense against asteroids from their first film already."

Well, that only works if they know the asteroid is coming, space is big, it is probably not impossible to slip by. Espically on other planets, earth must be the most well defended of all human planets, but the other planets must be harder to defend.

  • @iglidor "Altought there must be some limist for them to be resistant against projectiles it is posible."

Yeah, I imagine so, but that is how it is with everything, there must be a limit to the power of a rifle too.

"why not make it even immune against electricity?"

I dunno, maybe humans use some sort of plasma-electric fence that burns them insteads of electrocute them.=)

"Also , how can bugs move from planet to planet?"

They can shoot their spores into space using plasma bugs.

  • The size of the drop ship that comes to pick the troopers up is so small and yet their is a lot of troopers and yet they fit them all in?

What in the world is that supposed to mean they shrank?

  • @SeanFlog In the books they do =), they use a gas to spray down their tunnels that is heavier then air so it sinks to the bottom and kills everyone, unless the bugs invent a door and close it ofc=)

  • Starship troopers 4 is in production.

  • I dont get 20th century automatic weapons, they look like they have the same rate of fire and caliber of guns we have right now.

  • I wish Blizzard could have used some of these models for the Zerg, they are perfect for Starcraft.

The ground units in particular look like they have been genetically engineered, tough hide, very resilient despite major injuries like losing limbs, their arms are basically stabbling weapons, even their hide looks like some sort of attempt at camoflage. The flying decapitator guys are interesting too.

  • how does the bugs know the troopers are in outpost 29

  • I love this movie. The new ones, sucks big time. The bugs look poor. The ships look poor, this movie is deffinately the best of them!

  • You'd think by the time we master interstellar travel we'd also have developed energy weapons of some kind. A particle beam would slice through them fucks like butter.

  • @CincinnatusSPQR By the time we humans get to conquer the starts at the very least we should have been able to develop new battle tactics and not fight like in WW1.

  • i th ink it might have been an global budget cut lol, hence the no support for the m.i

  • Just like aliens (LET ROCK !)

  • There guns are just enlarge Famas

  • @Crappy1441 it looks like the chinese QBZ-95 to me. does it even have iron sights?

  • @NBMGamer actually, the Morita assault rifle made for this movie is made from the fully automatic version of the mini-14 " AC-556" and a Ithica 12 guage shotgun inside an inlarged version of the mini-14 bull pup stock sets

  • @SargeSouth Ah, thank you. I have always wondered what they used.

  • Why do the Mobile Infantry have no tanks or air support besides freakin weak little shuttles?

  • desearia estar hay

  • what if they didn't shoot the bugs, the bugs wouldnt be able to climb on the dead bugs to get up inside to fort (Y) brains people

  • @EtNatoR

They would limg on each other, even if they weren't dead

  • the marader would not help they would still lose now remenber its only a movie

  • Powneg movie

  • get the collosus!

  • I bet these troopers were wishing they had a Marauder or CAP Trooper at this Outpost...

  • nice job this is a nice starship troopers vid make a sequel and then another and then anotehr after that and even more after that :)

  • 1:19 Decapitation!!!!!

  • guys the guns look fake i know but this movie was made in 1996 so...

  • "Gimmie three, up on the tower!"

    [Two go up]

  • @allideas2 Are you implying black people can't count?

  • Dudes, The first film is the most and best film of 3. The guns, images, realistics, digital images.... ARE COOL! in the second or third: Propaganda is a shit, the politicians are idiots, The guns where made with lights powered with AAA batteries xD. Man...The directors of 2nd & 3rd are NOOBS. Even it gived me Shame watching the 2 and 3 films ! xD

  • Kick-Ass Vid. Give yerself some credit!

  • number 2 is the scaryest i think

  • the only movie that is good is this one

  • thats the DOCTOR WHO music lol

  • i still cant belive that i the same year nearly everybody was saying titanic looks better i mean they just had an singing boat and here 10 000 of moving bugs ....i think james cameron is cheating somehow there is no way that avatar is the best movie and that titanic looks better than this XD!!!

  • I've been spending several weeks in the Starcraft 2 galaxy editor working on a new starship troopers map. It will be a re-enactment of the ambush at Whiskey Outpost. It's still far from complete, but already has third person shooter camera and movement, raycasting hit detection and multiplayer support. I've also tried to make Whiskey Outpost look exactly like in the movie. I'll soon be posting demo videos of the map. Keep an eye out ;)

  • @TehNetherlands imma look forward to it : )

  • @Ultramarinedude It's already on the EU Bnet realm top 20 :)

  • Holy shit!! THIS WAS AWESOME!

    How is the actual movie?

  • I never see them reload...

  • @SteamyBanhBao 120 rounds per clip, hard to use up quickly

  • @thelittlemind Woah, they have 120 round clips?? No wonder! Sorry I thought they had like 30 per

  • @SteamyBanhBao well the game had 120 and i think you can give about 10 or 20 more in there

  • @SteamyBanhBao sorry heres the real info about the long rifle morita In total, around 70 full automatic ruger ac556s were used, 50 semiautomatic ruger mini 14s and 25 12 guage Ithaca "stakeout" shotguns and the morita carbine (the one that rashaq has i believe is a The fibergalss casing was modified into a short carbine pattern and it only contained the mini 14 rifle with no shotgun XD heres the webpage

  • just type in morita gun info and its the first one with starshiptroopers(dot)net

  • @SteamyBanhBao however The magazines have a 160 round capacity and the weapon its self can be set to semi or fully automatic fire. The standard add on is the 8 gauge 3.5" 12 round semi automatic shotgun.

  • @SteamyBanhBao and who wants to see guys reloading when a crap load of bugs are about to breach

  • That's where the failed. The bugs can't get in and are jumping like dogs at a door. If they had stopped shooting, it would've bought more time than killing them and making a hill of bodies for the bugs to climb on.

  • @kruglin soo you rather just laugh at them. that wouldnt be your first instict now would it

  • херово жить без дихлофоса))

  • That... was...EPIC!

  • CMON YOU MAGGOTS YOU WANNA LIVE FOREVER?!

  • I always feel sorry for the two guys who get burnt and dont make it to the dropship in time :(!

  • Haven't seen the movie but why do they send troopers when in the future surely they have nukes right? Or at least some kind of explosives or artillery. They didn't even set mines around that base or anything. It's not like the landscape is nice and needs preservation. :)

  • @Kurt004

Its been some time since I've watched the movie, but if I remember it right they were just investigating their outpost which had gone radio silent, and the planet was flagged as "clear", probably explaining why they were not prepared with heavier ordinance.

And the troopers did fire tactical nukes to clear out bug tunnels at times. They probably didn't have the launchers with them for the above reason.

  • why were they shooting the dead bug?

  • 1:42 Is it just me or did that guy get decapacitated?

  • i feel sorry for the dudes in the guntower :(

  • Wow... how to scrap a good movie in 5.40 minute... Your idea was intersting, but you don't have the talent to do it as good as the movie was... At-least, the music is good

  • this truely does make you wonder

  • This movie cost 105 million dollars

  • Where's the air support o.O

  • why do ppl do this shit and fucking ruin things that were great before fuck this

  • Goddamn Zerglings!

  • ok really. throw agrenade or shoot a nuke.

  • the gunz look the same as the halo gunz

  • @djforlife54 wrong, halo guns look the same as those guns

  • @wolfarkas ehm i sayt that those guns look the same as the halo guns

  • @wolfarkas no....no they dont, the Assault rifle from Halo 1 had a curved front with a ammo reader, these dont and these are larger and longer than the Halo assault rifles

  • in this movie, the bugs are more reals than starships troopers 2 or 3

  • ZEG RUSH!! KEKEKEKEKEKEKEKE

  • @bandman232 you can't even spell it man...

  • instead of bullets and shit cant they bomb them?

  • I don't mind if the technology is totally wrong compared to the book's. This movie is still epic.

  • doctor who music !!! :D

  • Fajniej by bylo gdyby zuczek ogniem nie buchal, zepsulo klimat

  • WTF is that huge bug got flame thrower! ROFL Pyrobug!

  • annybody notice that the bugs in the first movie look more realistic than in the newer movies?

  • @Legokink1 probably cause the bugs look so realistic their to realistic to be real!

  • @Legokink1 the third movie literally had one tenth the budget as the first

  • @Legokink1 Well the First films Budget was 100 Mil.While 2 and Third had 20 or so In Total...so yeah That's why it sucked ballz ;D

  • @Legokink1 well yeah this one actually went to theaters.

  • @Legokink1

    Budget shit

  • @Legokink1 It's not created by the same director, duh... The original director was Paul Verhoeven who made Robocop.

  • @makemap well i know that, but with this, why didnt they mkae a high funded, direct sequal afterwards?

  • @Legokink1 first one had a higher budget

  • @Legokink1 because the first movie took $105 million to shoot while the newer installments were less funded. Hence, the difference.

  • @Legokink1 cause they had more close up scenes with the bugs rest of the movies were mainly wide and far shots

  • @Legokink1 what's up!! it was because the first movie was made with a budget of 100 million dollars and ST2 and ST3 with lower budget, also the films had different director

  • @Legokink1 because the newest ones sucked!

  • @Legokink1 It had a good director, good actors, big budget and talented crew. The new ones were made direct-to-DVD by rookies with small budgets. ST3 definitely bit off more then it could chew. :/

  • @Legokink1 Tell the truth i checked in sst 1 they used hand puppets with cg motion tracking (like avatar) and later they just winged it

  • i mean he said on 0:16 1 hour earlier.

  • this is fake this are the survivors when they find this mess this isnt the fight from the dead guyz...

  • clap clap

  • @lowfundfilms...i think it took so many because the troopers werent firing as accuartely as they cud( big bug=scary...commander being munched by 1=scarier)

  • awesome blood

  • what i really don't understand about this movie is that sometimes the Morita works really well but at times like the first Klendathu attack it took like twelve moritas to kill a single bug.

  • What's a morita... lol, im dumb.

  • a morita is the machine gun that the Mobile Infantry use in starship troopers

  • oh, thanks =)

    What an odd name thought.

  • at 2:35 MADE ME LOL! when he jump out then bug got him LOL!!!!!!! SO FKING FUNNYYY

  • they would never spend money fighting the bugs on the ground, once you established how bad the humans got their asses raped by the bugts we'd just start tactical nuclear strikes unless we needed the resources, then it'd just be a disease we'd spread on their planets, the idea of ground combat against these things is ridiculous, i love this movie though, it's fuckin awesome

  • and we still kick ass sometimes

  • i dont understand y they dont have tanks or helicopters, bugs wouldnt be able to jump up and attack a helicopter

  • AA planetary defenses would rip choppers into pieces and Arachnid tanks could melt down any Federation tank. Infantry has more chances of winning because they're much faster.

  • they had tanks? whoa i guess i missed that, but that blue shit moves to slow to hit jets, and why didnt they get the fleets to bombard?

  • Arachnid tanks are called tankers. And fleet did bombard the enemy positions, but it took heavy casualties because of the plasma batteries.

  • Because if they got fleets to bombard with nukes or something there wouldn't be much of anything to make a movie about.

  • they do but at this point in the film most of the fleet is out of ammo and their only troop carriers reli they do av jets they use em to kill loads of bugs just before this fight scene wen theyre movin thru the desert

  • As clearly demonstrated in this video.

  • i think your wrong on the melting part because when they left the base the tanker hit the ship with a full blast of fire and i didn't even leave scorch marks, what i think is that they have horrible military intelligence.

  • Who has horrible military intelligence? Federation or Arachnids?

  • federation has horrible millitary intelligence

  • damm the trooper got owned

  • lol, yeah, i'd have to punch some higher ups after i got sent on that mission

  • Im confused.............they have amo very much.

but still this movie is fuckin' great

  • makes me wanna watch this hole film all over again lol

  • nice

  • why not they thorw a dam grenade? only machine guns dun they have something heavy?

  • Exactly! If you really think about it, the whole movie doesn't make sense when it comes to weapons.....I mean they have conquered inter-galactic space travel, but yet they have no tanks? No heavy armored personel transports to protect the Troopers? Blows my mind man!

  • yes machine guns exist

  • it doesn't mean that they don't have tanks but we all know they have horrible Military Intelligence

  • He threw a grenade right on that big bugs face.

  • dumbass its a she.

  • the guns on troopers 2 and marauder were wierd, i mean, first they had bullets, then they had lasers in the span of..what a year?, then they had guns that looked like giant f***king squirt guns and wierd mechs that look like they were made outta cardboard...now what? takling bugs wearing a toupee and drinkin tea? the worlds gone crazy man...

  • The 3rd movie was set a good 10 years after the first one IIRC (quite awhile atleast), the 2nd one I dont count as cannon so dont know much about it.

  • @darkman30200 i just laughed at ur comment lol

  • @darkman30200 because in the 2 and 3th movie they try to be more accurate of the comic and the books.

    but that fail.

  • oh great were at another bace...thats gonna get flooded in like 5 minits shit i hate my life why did i even join the army ??? lol

  • it is ruger mini-14

  • their rifles kind of look like British L85 rifles

  • not at all in my opinion...more like a G36K but even then its quite a long shot.

  • in fact, ive just looked at it in more detail, it does fit the design of the L85 pretty well, silly me.

  • you look like a British L85 rifle

  • suck to be the man at 1:24

  • wow crushed the old man at 1:30 why didnt he move away

  • because before the battle he had a nervous break down

  • @DarkTemplar316 Ive noticed no one ever does in this movie. like when they shoot that big bug, and it collapses and scratches that guy, does he dodge? side step? step back? nope. Stands and looks terrified. Damn You Pavlov!!!

  • I love this movie... but 2 and 3 part sux T_T

  • wer to download this game fast??? i love this game plss comment me fast !!!

  • u have to buy the game but u do realise this is a movie

  • most likly not lol

  • lol nice endingg o shit theres more!

  • you wanna weapon like that join the Army see whats really out there i joined

  • but you don't get to shoot alien bugs

  • Great job editing the film

  • those are cool guns i wish i had those

  • i really like the star ship troopers triogly

  • This used to be one of my favorite scenes in this movie not just because of the violence or the special effects but because of the way the origional music complimented the scene and enhanced the action.

    Now it's even better.

The choice of music also adds a heroic element mixed with the desparation of the situation.

    Bravo!

    Good work.

  • this movie sucks. I mean, bullets, atleast 100 years after now, WHAT THE CRAP MAN. They should have lasers, crap like that, not frikkin machine guns.

  • It is very hard to get lasers that small to do enough damage.

  • why should every fucking future film have lasers? maybe they havent it now or its in reasarch , or lasers are more crapy against this bugs than machinguns?!

THis sucks because of missing laser guns? Wtf...

there is more action with machine guns than with LaZ0rs

  • i agree

the machine guns make this movie a classic.

  • Personally, I'm saddened by the fact that no one ever mentions that this crapy movie is based on a very good book. In the book the Troopers are wearing power-armour suits and throwing around tactical nukes (each suit carries about 6 nukes if I remember correctly). So, basically, this movie is about 100 years behind the tech level of the book that it's based on.

  • I remember the book, and I remember the old "Avalon Hill" paper and pencil game that was loosely based on it. The movie was fun but it makes me grind my teeth....
