This is the first time Ive seen MM9 in action. Are they serious? Ok, the nostalgia factor is great and all but I was expecting a little redefined evolution in graphics here. Its also reusing a lot of old enemies... A LOT. Its got the MM2-6 stage select appearance too. Maybe this was to make it a much more affordable game putting it on Wii network for download instead of a marketed disc. Im absolutely torn whether to love it or feel disappointment. I seriously am. Ive been spoiled, huh?

@Mastermind8908 the game was made to resemble the older, glory days of NES mega man graphically, as well as in gameplay. the game was intended to be exclusive for download on Wii, 360, and PS3 from day one, not on a disc. If Capcom decides to make a new updated, disc based Mega Man then it will obviously look much better, be longer. An "update" wasn't the idea. this was made to look/feel just like it did when you were a kid, and was made just for those who grew up with it, not for anyone else.

That was AWESOME! When I first played Mega Man 9, it was a mixed feeling of shock and awesomeness: It was everything I had waited for, and I wanted a game that's just as challenging as the oldies... and boy, it really, REALLY was! I can play all other NES MMs through without dying once (except for Mega Man 1) but this was really hard! I started with Tornado man and decided I won't quit until I get it through with Mega Buster alone... played for 6 hour straigh until I succeeded :D

Mega Man 9 is what you get if a well-organized group of hackers with millions of dollars (Nintendo) to hack Mega Man 2 and make it look good. This game does play and feel a lot like 2.

Not completely true. You are limited to the same moves as that in Megaman 2 but the controls feel identical to Megaman 3 and forward. Megaman 1 and 2 had slightly different control responses, of the worse kind.

Can't understand why people are hating and complaining about this stage. I loved it! It's so fancy with the twisting things and rain/wind push-back/boost. It also has one of the best Megaman tunes ever. So this is probably my fav stage to time attack! :)

Tornado Man himself, however, is slightly annoying. It's hard to not get hit by him, while still hammering him down asap :P And his kinda random nature is hard to predict - thus hard to time attack properly.

a little tip for you all...

the trident thingy can blast through the enemies with shields like the little red guys. with the normal blaster it takes 6 hits, as for the trident it's 3.

You can also use the Jewal Satalite to reflect his shots and kill him in 3.

I'm going to go take my first attempt... I'll die about at least 5 playthroughs worth lol!
