My grandfather has this, in his room. [x It only gets a signal through the right, channel, if I remember correctly. That's probably from years of dust. But I hooked up and 8Inch Rockford Fosgate Sub, to it's speaker lines, and boy, was I surprised. For something so old, it sure as hell can push these modern speakers, pretty good. I might use the built-in speakers as mini subs, and make an all new box for them, seeing as they can no longer serve a purpose, in the old Boom-Box.

I had a gf-777 in the late 70s, but it was different to this one. It had a front panel containing record level faders and a fadeable mic/line input. I used to do multi-track recordings using keyboards, mic and guitar on this, and apart from the obvious signal degredation after 20 bounce-downs, the quality was comparable to a 4-track portastudio. I eventually sold it due to the fact that after being up all night recording, I'd be too shagged out to carry it about during the day! Sorely missed!!!
