@wtf66611 It is a 74 (you recognize it due to the rear lights, front bumper and front grille). I just put the stacked headlights from a 76-77 monte carlo. 78 is the newer generation.
@muscle1983 dont worry homie i have a 77 and you r right it a 74 the tail light are in a angle compared to my 77 wich arent so much... sounds good bro keep it up...
@grungesteve47 hi diameter is from manifolds to muffler unfortunately too thin (2 inches) then 2'25 (mufflers) and 3'5 endpipes. No cats. It would surely sounds much better with 2'5 inches tubing from beginning to end and headers of course. good luck with your project!
@muscle1983 Thanks for the advice, in the spring time I'm going to try and take off the cat and replace the exhaust end pipes with 3" or 3.5" pipes like you've got to see how it sounds.
@grungesteve47 It will surely be awesome without cats and 3" or 3.5" pipes! I forgot to mention, that there is a true dual exhaust system on my monte (not even a H or X pipe) it's like I I. It surely gives a better sound too. Keep me updated when you changed your exhaust!
@949dk good observation. but it is a 74. I just repaced the round headlights by the 76-77 dual stacked headlights. But if you look closer you see that the front bumper, grille and taillights are from 74!
@muscle1983 SWEET! my 1st car i ever owned was a 1974 Monte Carlo. the 74 and 75 look almost identical except the tail lights are slightly different. i can recognize almost every monte carlo from 73-81. good job changing out the headlights from 74 to the 76 model. the dual headlights were in the 76 and 77 models only...the 77's had those funny rotating seats while the 74-75 models had a mechanism under the front seats where if you didnt put on your seatbelts, the car wouldnt start!
@SneakyTikiii engine is absolutely stock. only thing that is not stock is the exhaust system (true dual with flowmaster super 44 mufflers and no cat).

Gold 1970 Monte Carlo, 350 small block ,duel quad, 2 barrel . jets bored out. My car feels like I'm running 3 carburetor's .
I blow your doors off. I raced 427,428 and 429 Shelby Cobra's and won every time.

I liked the stacked headlights better than the rounded headlights, I personally thought the rounded headlights on the 1973-75's were ugly.

That's a 1977 or 78
Not a '74

I want my Caprice to sound like this
I have a Series 40 on it at the moment, single into a Y pipe after the axle.
One I put in my new motor I'll get it converted to true duals. What's the diameter of your piping?
