1st. We discovered that as soon as you start moving with the grapple (as long as you're not at max range) toward your destination if you mount up, it will keep you from porting back to your original grapple position (most of the problem with getting to position 1, D) Seems to be a very reliable way to avoid a lot of the buggyness of grappling.
2nd. Due to the issues with /stuck not working, we were left to improvise. We did a countdown and set off B then C did another count down to set off A C and D asap. A would grapple to 4 (E) using the mount up trick. B never tried but I assume it could move forward and grapple to 3 using the mount trick. C was confirmed to be able to grapple to 3 then to 4 then 5 using the mount trick. D could follow the guide basically.
2 issue with the guide. /Stuck no longer works as described. It will bring your character back to the last major platform you were on, so positions A B C are all somewhat SOL as far as the guide goes. Also, the min lvl is at least 46, and I've heard it's 45, though we're going to test to see if any of our lower lvl guildies can get the blue crystal (if you can get the blue crystal you can get the datacron).
If you are still having issues getting on one of the platforms--use the MGGS and as soon as the cast is off grapple again, essentially, cast it twice-- this prevents you from going through the roof of the ship or being sent back down to the spot you started at.
sirmarkus19 if you haven't figured it out yet. if you get tossed to top of ship when you try to use the grappling gun, try to use an ability like meditate or force wave or something that will interrupt the grappling gun

So now you wont telleport back to where you get teleported, you will teleport back to the consol you were last standing with.
So now you can not reach Grappling point 3 from any of the 3 consols (A, B and C). Even when you tun from the consols until you the the Grappling point, the graappling point will teleport you back just as with the buggy Grapling point 1.

Thanks for the guide it helped us a lot! that first point is a bitch but we finally got it. The trick to it is your camera angle, you have to have a direct shot up to the ledge and the camera lies to you about it.
we tried for about 2 1/2 hours to get to the first grappling point, always Died, appeared on top of the ship or died... Seriously, i like the way to get, but its so damn buggy, if they put in things like that they should work...
if your thinking of getting this game don't wait a 1 month or so this game is unplayable i cant do any missons i cant talk to the people that give me my main missions and i am on the republic fleet guss what happens now there nothing just the npc's and then all i can see is space so they rushed the game ruined it now its no fun i would get ether wow or ff14. oh and the customer support is shit.
Key to the buggy switch is to use Force speed while in mid grapple. The game thinks your speed hacking so rubber bands you.... Force speed tricks the fucker. Enjoy =)
@Hacker3423 I just checked out that site. Honestly, if you are gathering more information from their version of the +10 Datacron, I am impressed and you must be a mind reader. There is no video, no screenshots, and a fairly poorly written guide that says is full of misinformation.
I'm not sure if you're just disliking my videos to promote that site, but at least do it on a guide that they have a better version of. This guide isn't great, I know. But theirs is worse.

@coredumperror It seems to be updated, so I don't recall exactly what errors there were. I do remember seeing something about typing /stuck to kill yourself and stuff like that. Seems to be updated since then, though!
Found a workaround to the bug for the first one. You have to spam click the button just keep spam clicking it and it should work most of the time. Spam right click constantly and let it keep rechanneling and most of the time it works.
I did this tonight with an ops group of 6 people. \Only 3 need the MGGS or w/e it's called. Activate the bridge and whatnot, then have 5 people go to panels A, B, C, D, and E. Have the one at E be a sage, if possible. The sixth (definitely a sage if possible) should grapple to 3, then 5. Sage at E grapples to 3. Sage at 3 "rescues" people. Sage at 5 rescues those at 3. We were lucky enough to get to point 1 within 2 minutes. All in all, it took us about an hour. Hope this helps!

One of our members (Duke) got up to the #1 point (the tough one) after about 40 minutes, and we spent the rest of the time getting it for all of the guild 50's. If anyone is confused about this: YOU CANNOT GET THIS UNLESS YOU ARE 50 and have both the crystals.
To make sure the person activating the panel @ #1 would be able to get the datacron, we had a sage pull him. Sage got to the final ledge by #5, and was able to pull Duke once he grappled to #3.
@ikariss77 Very nice, glad you were able to grab it. The Sage pull is a great idea; if you have one, you could leave the guy at Grappling Point 1 until your Sage gets to the final point, then let GP 1 guy come down and just use the Sage to pull him up. That is definitely the safest way.
