The Minimata disaster (which the Japanese government hid from its own people) is a good indicator of what can happen when you eat dolphin meat. Babies born with severe defects, people dying of mercury poisoning (slowly, and painfully)... Yeah, killing and eating dolphins is NOT A GOOD IDEA all around.

In France, we have a theme park called "Marineland" where we can see dolphins jumping and swimming with humans... These dolphins were captured in horrible and traumatic conditions and westerners enjoy these shows !

Who are these awful Westerners? While their message about dolphins is courageous, the way they're going about it is atrocious! This is most likely how "the Cove" was shot. They insulted the locals, filmed them when they got mad and portrayed them like evil people. They learned the lesson not to respond so these men are not reacting to this awful insult. What Sea Shepherd and the movie the Cove have accomplished is more hatred rather than changing for better. Shame on Academy for giving the Cove an Oscar when the movie is not even documentary but a mere entertainment with propaganda.

Why'd you cut the video at 10:41? Guessing you were getting frustrated and "went home" long before the two Japanese men did. Seriously, Japan is a very tolerant country and do come back every year. Come back to spend money on food, lodging and give the locals a nice chat every now and then like you did as featured in this video. It intimidates in all languages ...but could impair policeman's good judgement and you'd be cruisin' for a bruisin'. I must say, stupid or not, protest methods test the world's ability to unite for an important cause. The dynamics of coming together on a global level is exciting/important these days.
