  • Good performance. The Liu He ba Fa in this video has a heavy Xing yi quan influence... which is fine. LHBF brings out the art you are strongest in. Flows very well, nice low stances, but I was taught to use higer stances as we are very combat oriented.... but it is always u to the masters to decide how and why we learn things differently... I do have to surmise that this form was demonstrated very well....Kudos

  • Good eye for the Xingyi...Yes, higher is better for fighting...I like this demo in that it shows the speed changes pretty well..Some of the older guys appear to have turned it into Taiji...

  • Very powerful stances, which is how I learned from Toby Cooley...LOW..is better for your longevity and body in general.

    Nice form.

  • internal is core twisting and lengthening making for internal movement). Weather or not this guy can fight make no diference to his skill in internal martial arts. xing yi is internal but the most simple of the three major styles. as far as speed, wake up! u can not fight moving super slow. practice all speeds. Internal priciples: Hand and foot, start together stop together, the whole body moves together, force moves from feet to hands. use intent not force alone. this guys ok

  • This is crap . Pure showmanship , zero internal arts .Who are u trying to kid ? its just swaying , he has abolutely zero knowledge of internal arts ..he is a disgrace to the internal arts world !!!!!!

  • Guess what, zero internal art is what you know about it, you idiot.

people like you should never touch internal art.

  • After the movie I understand this master is GOOD, and I won't tell you how do I know cos that the way of judgement will lead you the way to true internal art, and people like you should never touch internal art.

  • Master Zhou wants this video removed immediately as well as his Xing Yi performance. 2. For those who comment about how this art is to be performed , he asks that they seek proper instructions from good teachers in Xing Yi, Taiji and Ba Qua and have a thorough understanding of the 3 arts before commenting. 3. For those who doubt whether he can fight he invites them to contact him at S'pore mobile: 92210978. He speaks only Mandarin.

  • HI gentlemen, This Master Zhou is powerful and was China's Xing Yi Quan champion for a few years. He is now teaching in Singapore full-time at Ching Wu (Neil Road)and The Hainanese Clan Association along Beach Road. Meet him and see for yourself whether that was "flower" fist.

  • That is not the way to play LHBF, TOO much taiji flavour and way too fast!

  • No fast no hitting you stupid.

  • Each Chinese Kong fu plays good looks like TaiJi flavour even though it could be of External art.

Taiji is not only pushing but HITTING, go home ask your master why not.

  • Too fast? you really are a beginner then if you think that. All internals can be practiced slow or explosively fast. Taiji (or LHBF, Bagua, Xingyi) is performed slow to gain balance, timing, posture etc. But in use it is explosive and instant. If you think only slow, then you haven't seen them performed by an advanced practitioner.

  • Looks awesome! However, the perennial question remains; can this man use those graceful and potentially powerful techniques in a REAL FIGHT?

  • Modern wushu blended with internal arts set

  • What makes you say it's modern wushu blended with internal arts?

From what i'd read, Liuhebafa dates quite sometime back, and to some it's considered an internal art itself. Furthermore, it isn't quite as flashy as the modern wushu that we'd usually see in performances/competitions.

Not being offensive here - i'd really like to know why you consider this modern wushu.
