I liked this movie---it's like a slice-of-life look at Jamaica and I like how the Rastaman introduces himself and explains the whole Rasta philosophy, even if you can't understand him---the whole film's got subtitles though. Basically,if you like old-school reggae from the seventies, this is definitely worth a look!
Don't know but it's cool as heck and I'm a sucker for any song with African rhythms/drums in it. Fun film--BTW, can anybody ID the Rastaman who introduces the film---I didn't get his name in the credits. The film has a cool this-is-our-world-and welcome-to-it-vibe, so check it out, as well as the soundtrack.
Uwielbiam ten film, oglądałem go , wyłączyłem komputer, włączam i samo mi się to włączyło haha dziwne, to znak od Jah :)
I love this movie, I watched it, next i turn of the computer, and when I'm turn on it again, this link in yt started itself, strange, i'ts sign from Jah :)
@Cerjooo ......It is 100 % Satta Massagana my brother in its simplest form (no studio wizardry). This is the Rasta anthem. Check Horsemouth in the background, just love his enthusiasm
@moblackqb31 Yeah, MyNameIsKojak appears to be right...it really does sound like "Satta Massagana" by the Abyssinians, which you can find on their 1976 album of the same name.
@ap4sp i'd say its something about "in my/gods divine presence and overlooking, supreme blessings are laid on everything that is good and righteous" or variations on the theme. Ites bredrin!
Maybe the biggest, i have seen larger dreadlocks than that the singer of Cultura Profetica have one only dread and believe me is a little bit larger jeje
its about Pan-African culture and the life of a struggling musician in the slums of Kingston.
Rastafari is not about "pot". They do smoke herb of wisdom, but what an idiotic comment to describe such a powerful movement of unity and togetherness over adversity, as simply a stoner culture.
well this place is supposed to be paradise,or heaven as christian call it,but in realty it is not a physical place , it is more of a state of mind or level of consciousness
the tune is called The Abyssinians - Satta Massagana
