i get a new car every two years for work..i have had Acura TL's.Honda Accord's.....but i will tell you..this year a drove a Hyundia Santafe...Very Very nice...i love driving that car its perfect..fit and finish is great..there are small things like inside the door panels that look punched on a press.they didnt clearcoat the paint on the inner pannels found that to be odd...and way look out people Hyundia is moving up..look at Consumer Reports on customor satisfaction ..second to Toyota..

It was the 2.2 4 cylinder common rail diesel. It was brilliant. The car my father just sold was the D40 Nissan Navara 2.5 common rail diesel. It's got more torque than the Nissan! The auto box was really slick too.

I agree man. My first car was my dad's 2003 KIA sorento, over 55,000 miles not a single fucking problem, other than mandatory oil changes. This was a 2003 model, imagine all the models after that.

Here in Peru, Kia Rio competes agains chevrolet aveo, toyota yaris, hyundai accent (which is almost the same), nissan tiida, suzuki aerio, nissan sentra v16, honda fit, renault logan, among others. Rio 5 comes with 1.4 liters engine only :(

Actually there are in the same class - superminis (as named in europe). BUT The Kia rio is a budget supermini and really is not Kia's best car. The Hyundai i20 was brought out to rival the likes of the Ford Fiesta, Renault Clio, Peugeot 207 and Vauxhall Corsa. The Kia Rio however was to appeal to people wanting something bigger than a Kia Picanto but couldn't afford a Fiesta. I am sure though that the new Rio will be just as good as its mainstream rivals (mentioned above) just like the i20 is
