You're taking the piss right? I know as a fan i'm biased but Mark Greaney (singer) is one of the better singers of an alt-rock band from the noughties, look into their debut & you'll hear his range. On par with Bellamy, Yorke & birgisson IMO. Take into account that this is their debut too which sold great even before the internet/Youtube was around for music promotion. They were something else & shouldn't of gotten fucked over by their record company

I remember JJ72. They were one of the early Radiohead clones that appeared after Radiohead's OK Computer. They even toured with Coldplay and Muse who at the time were also labeled Radiohead clones.

Can't say why it suggest them, i'm a fan of Nirvana & RATM (like 90% of rock fans basically) & don't see the connection they aren't heavy rock nor lyrically same. JJ72 are along the lines of early Muse/Placebo with their own touch. That being said some songs like ''Serpent Sky/Tokyo (unreleased album)/bumblebee'' may be more suited to your liking. Oxygen was more a ballad tune with Marks signature screams, not by a long shot their best song though you either love or hate these guys

Unfortunately they're no longer a band any more. Hilary Woods left to persue other interests so Mark Greaney and Fergal Matthews got another bassist - a Canadian girl named Sarah Fox. They never really picked up from their old momentum though and they never made a third album but they did do a small venue tour with the new bassist before they died as a band.

Mark Greaney started in another group called Concerto For Constantine but Ive heard nothing from them. They have their own myspace I think.
