I like how Optimus is a ape, and Megatron is a dragon (reptile). The show is based around animals, evolving, and the battle between 2 conflicting ideologies. The reptilian brain and mammalian brain doing battle in the form of giant robots.

@NMbarrassment Quickstrike had been controlling Optimus' body earlier that episode (something Tarantulas had fired at him made him go offline), so Megatron would have been expecting to hear Quickstrike's voice

Actually, Megatron is smart. He keeps his ancestor's spark to ensure nobody tries to kill him (except Tarantulas, who doesn't care). Later on, Optimus has to stop the alien-controlled Tigerhawk from killing Megatron, which would upset the timeline.

Primal didn't want to use Prime's spark because if he die then every other Maximals will die too. Unlike Megatron who only care about powers and not anyone else, even his own comrades that's why he kept the original Megatron spark.

Technically, he is stronger than Megatron. However, it's not just Megatron he's fighting. He's ALSO fighting the G1Megatron, whose spark is inside Megatron. Unlike Optimus, he's not returning the spark to it's rightful place. Instead, he's keeping it and getting an extra power boost out of it. Optimus is essentially battling two very strong people at once (except they're occupying one body). That's why Megatron says "Did you really think you could stand against the fury of BOTH Megatrons?!"

When he said that, it was more or less symbolic. I don't think Primal would be any stronger if he still had G1 Optimus's spark, nor would Megatron be weaker if he put it back. G1 Megatron was originally built to be a perfect weopon, it's not surprising he might outmach Primal in a head to head fight. Primal though, has 4 different modes, and is much more versatile. Having the Spark makes Megatron much more evil, and much more insane though, that is for sure.

@reaperwithnoname You should remember however, that Megatron returned the original spark to G1 Megatron which is why he was still alive in the original cartoon. That was shown in a deleted scene. This shows that Megatron is just that powerful.

BW Megatron wasnt that agresive or maniacle in battle till the time he gots the spark of G1 Megatron.

@braves20012 @braves20012 Neither of them are REALLY a TM2. I have no idea why they called them that on the toys, that is NEVER said in the show. TM2 was an upgrade Megatron created out of alien technology. The upgrades seen here were bestowed by taking their ancestors sparks. Those are COMPLETELY different and mutually exclusive events... The only TM2's are Cheetor, Dinobot 2, and Black Arachnia.

@reaperwithnoname There is absolutely no empirical evidence to back that up. We never at any point see Megatron in action without the G1 Megatron spark, so we really don't know if he is weaker without it. The only empirical evidence we do have is Optimus with G1 Optimus's spark and without, where he appears to be exactly the same. They got the power boost because a more powerful body was required to house the G1 spark, they don't lose the boosted body by putting it back.

@reaperwithnoname even if he took out G1megs spark out the powers already are absorbed from him, so anyway dragon megs would be that much strong, but Op. didn't fought at full strenght, because he didn't want to risk G1megs spark. So i think in power Op. and Dragon Megs are about equal, and about "fury of both Megatrons", he would said that even if he gave g1 megs spark, because after their fusion he gained his powers (becoming a dragonbot) andnothing will take them back now!!!
