  • I was grateful Megami Tensei never makes you worry about Equips and stuff

1st_Healing an Itens are expensive as fuck

    2st-Enemies give very little money

    3rd-FUCK THIS GAME IS HARD

  • Sounds like something out of Digital Devil Saga and not Nocturne... hmm.

  • One thing about this game, when you take a life stone you're greatful that you could because death is breathing down your neck 24/7.

In FF games you have the leisure to heal yourself freely without the pressure of dying in the next event.

Nocturne keep you on your toes, that's for sure.

  • @Onoku1690 Hell yeah , you've gotta be pretty careful most of the time , that what i love from nocturne.

Im currently playing it on my pc <3 , dont know how to get in yoyogi park xD

  • @IzanagiSMT did you just start it?

  • @Onoku1690 nope, i meant the second time you gotta go there , i resolved it anyways :D

  • @IzanagiSMT Cool story, bro XD

  • @Onoku1690 ^^

  • This guys games cant be toped he makes the best RPG games no duh Atlust was a fool to try to make opreation Darknesss with out his help

  • Ferocious battle in the depths of hell. Sounds awesome!

  • Damn... FF is nothing compared to this... although i like both series XD...

  • So far I'm only really into Persona, particularly the older ones actually, although I kind of liked Revelations: The Demon Slayer (Last Bible).

I looked up the alignments for this series though and it's really cool. :) I got $50 for Christmas and I'm wondering what to spend it on... If only our PSP didn't stop working for some reason I could get the remake of Revelations: Persona, eventually Persona 2, or maybe even KH: Birth By Sleep.

I could try to get this or Persona 4... Hm...

  • @AkumaUchitoru get nocturne it is the best rpg ever made. other ones to check out: Persona 4, Demon's Souls, Shadow Hearts 1 and 2, Digital Devil Saga series, Xenosaga series, Zelda ocarina of time

  • Yeah, Persona's quite good, never heard of Demon's Souls, I saw walkthroughs of Shadow Hearts and that looks good. :) More Shin Megami Tensei games ^^, and I think everyone's played OoT. :)

About Xenosaga though. I played Episode I and saw the other 2 and well... The story's pretty good and all, but it's pretty weird and disturbing. I don't Xeno is my type.

  • @AkumaUchitoru

Demon's Souls is a punishing, difficult but brilliant PS3 game. The spiritual successor, Dark Souls, comes out for PS3 and 360 late this year.

  • SMT has gotta have the best soundtracks of anything ever.

I think ten million Duke Nukems in one room simultaneously saying, "Bitchin'," would not even begin to describe how fucking awesome this game series is.

  • @DrolKeegEht

Ten million and one, however, would.

  • When I first heard this piece upon going into the Labyrinth, I couldn't hold it in any longer.

If anything, I went into that place because the music was so damned awesome! I would've turned around just before ol' Lucy's throne - which would be RIGHT after Metatron (since you can save yourself by turning around RIGHT after you beat him).

Personally myself, I'd prefer Shijima (borderline Musubi) as its principles are more Law-based (even though the reason-holder is/was a Gaian at one point).

  • IMAGINE is a lot of fun if you have some friends to play with. Get a huge clan and you'll never have a dull moment :P

  • I've only played the MMO and I'm already sold.

  • @KidArez Console games are soooo much better :)

  • @KidArez Yeah. IMAGINE has crazy imbalances and shit. The console games, if you can, are a lot better. A lot of focus on either character or story development, with a really fun element to the gameplay - like trying to make the perfect demons, or doing all these extras thrown into the games.

  • @Foozdude Yeah but sadly, people like me cant get their hands on them, so we're forced to either play IMAGINE, or none at all, and what would you rather do? I'm guessing what I do, play IMAGINE, considering SMT is addictingly epic.

  • @KingCrazy9 Well I did say 'if you can'. IMAGINE's a nice test, and retains most of the key elements or themes in the earlier games, too, so no worries. I played it for about a year before I got bored of it, which isn't actually too bad in terms of length.

You'd be right, it's not bad. And it is better to at least try it if you can't even get a console game.

  • @Foozdude Ah I didnt catch that, "If you can" xD sorry.

Yeah I actually got an english rom of SMT1 for Snes. It's pretty sweet, haven't gotten too far into it yet, but it's good so far. :)

  • This is probably my favorite regular battle music piece in the game. It really conveys how dangerous the labyrinth areas really are. It's too bad the music for the labyrinth itself is not as great and there's only the one piece of music for what is easily 10+ hours of dungeon.

  • Nocturne's soundtrack was composed by Shōji Meguro, Kenichi Tsuchiya and Toshiko Tasaki.

  • You could compare this with the Battle for Everyone's Souls.

  • @Earthbound92

    No, you couldn't.

  • @FirestormSurtr I just said that for the first part of the song. Either way, this might as well have been a boss theme.

  • Every song in this god damn serie are AWESOME !!!

  • One of the best rpgs ever made.

  • @Yakup1988

    Hell yeah.

  • @Yakup1988 Totally agree. It's my absolute favourite alongside final fantasy 7 and 8

  • Who's Toshiko Tasaki? I though Tsukasa Masuko did the Megaten Music before Meguro came along.

  • @GuiltlessGear I believe Toshiko Tasaki did the music for Persona 2 Innocent Sin/Eternal Punishment.

  • She is the one of the composers of Atlus.

  • @yoimati What has she done besides Innocent Sin?

  • She has composed some music for Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner and Devil Summoner Soul Hackers.

I know her work slightly, though.

  • @yoimati I believe the lead composer for the Megami Tensei series/sub-series is Shoji Meguro nowadays. He also directed the Persona remake. It's good to know that people at ATLUS are able to do several things and want to be involved in doing several things - as opposed to corporal capitalist work environment where "everybody knows your place".

  • @DexlessOps No, just don't do it. Oy oy oy.

  • is it me or the beginning of this one sounds like "battle for everyone's soul"

  • Technically you have it backwards, but a it's no crime for a good composer to take parts of a good song and make a bette one.

  • well, it's two different composers.

    Nocturne OST : toshiko tasaki

    Others SMT : Meguro

  • a great song from a great game

  • where can I get this soundtrack?

  • i'm glad to see that some people appreciate this more than that final fantasy crap :)

  • :) i so totally agree with everything you said

  • @cjiwakura So very true...

  • @cjiwakura It can't compare because it isn't the same genre. At all. In all of its' glory, the old Final Fantasies, after FFVII until X, were on par with the Megami Tensei series as far as quality goes, but again, they're only comparable for being RPGs. Their RPG genre is way too different to compare, so it all goes down to preference, and quality becomes nothing more than an incorrectly used argument.

As far as preference goes, I'd have to say Megami Tensei, of course.

  • @cjiwakura i dont see what the similarities are to compare them, so y do people do that? im jw, but if there's near nother in common then there really shouldnt be an argument, it just doesnt make sense to me...im srry, im not trying to start a fight on youtube either, cus that's just stupider im just...uh....idk what i am DX lmao

  • @cjiwakura Final fantasy is like rock n' roll (very known). SMT is like Death n' roll (just a little known) xD

  • Good shit. Favorite RPG of all time right here and NOTHING is going to change that.

  • This game has it all..... epic music, epic storyline.... you name it! =D

  • LOL Don't forget the puzzle game that makes all the players go insane. xD Gotta love SMT

  • or the amala temple part haha

  • this game has everything, Puzzle-solving, Excellent story with multi-endings, excellent battle system, mini games...

  • Words can't explain how awesome this game is. You gotta experience it.

  • @Gainrrom LOL, yeah seriously. The storyline is about being a minion of Lucifer (if you want the true ending)

  • @RocmanRaz I don't know if I'd say a minion; I think that the Hitoshura actually becomes the next Lucifer on the True Demon ending. When the maid says "Doom shall set us apart," I think she's implying that either herself or Lucifer will die. Also if it were the maid that died, then I think that consequentially, Lucifer would die in time also. Like I said, this is all just speculation; it may be right, maybe not. Then again, all good art allows for speculation.

  • Bloody loved this game

  • fucking awesome!
