When I was 11 the scene wher he jumps on her on the couch and kisses her and tells her he loves her....after watching blackwhite film with them shopping in italy... That's what I want for myself.

ok ok! i know this film was made by vittorio de sica the italian! but is this the spanish or the portuguese version? or is it still italian? but i thought that the movie was originally in english, right? so for the italian version, they dubbed it?

I think so...at least for Dunaway's fans. They are acting, but sometimes they are away from acting. They are on the border between fiction and reality.

@fayedunawayfan If no one else has answered you, I'd say it is a really good film to LOOK AT--beautifully shot, beautiful leads (obviously), really great clothes from the era, great settings, but the story itself is a silly melodrama. I watched it in Italian and my Italian isn't so great, so maybe I was missing some subtleties, but I don't think so. The story is ridiculous. But the splendid look of it all and the leads make it worth seeing, I think.
