Sub failed when they decided to go hatchback. If I wanted a hatchback, I'd get a Focus or a GTI. I prefer the old Subs and Evos. The Evo X is nice tho.

@alienlivingform well ive seen the sti and like the rs and all them there horrible looks crap. The MR evo has a much nicer layout and the computer screen above the headunit is very nice. Either way the sti interior maybe be put together better but its doesnt look as good the engine is not as good, the handling is not as good, the exterior is not as good its a hands down winner. I must say tho the evo steering wheel is on eof the worst ive ever seen

Have you ever driven a Subaru? Whether it be a turbo or not, EJ engines have low end TQ for DAYS! LOL! In fact, they don't rev as high as Evos do to make power but then, they give you more power out of the gate than an Evo does. My average to work is around 85 on the freeway. The people usually driving 70 are in the furthest lane to the left and getting passed. Most trucks are going 70. (Not the Big Rigs, but the Fed EX, pickups, and small trucks.) Even the SUV's are going faster than 70.
I drive in CA. Bay Area (mostly East Bay.) But I did get pulled over for going 132mph on I5. Almost got my car impounded (and/or arrested) but the cop felt like I was a responsible driver, who was just having some fun.

why? because use are too dumb to learn more than one task, takes 3 of use to do what one of us would do.
Well I actually assemble GE engines, and I realized I don't get paid to work faster so why do it. My group of 5 can tear a engine down, inspect all the parts and put it back together in 16 days to be exact.
They honestly both look so sick going around the track. This is when both of them were in their prime. Awesome bodies, awesome performance. Now they've both taken turns for the worse and completely against their original raw rally car heritage. They really need to leave the Evo and STI as true rally cars and do all their "family friendly"/marketability bullshit to the Ralliarts and non-STI WRXs.
I own an 04 WRX, so I love me some subbies. The STi is a car I look forward to owning some day. I used to like Evos, but with the 10 they turned me completely off. If I ever bought an Evo it would have to be a 9.......and lord knows I'd never find one unmolested ;_;

the simple fact is that evo is better around corners on tarmac. scoobys are better at everything else including straight line speeds the wr1 can do a quater mile in 12.8 seconds which i think is pretty quick for a 2.0. if you think im wrong about the conering stuff subaru have more wrc titles than mitsubushi. i own a wr1 at the minute before hand i had just a wrx and everytime i see an evo i still think what a gorgeous car to look at
BAD CHOICE!!! You owned yourself. A 1:26, is supercar territory! The Evo FQ400 is faster than the Gallardo, Murcielago, Viper and Corvette. I promise. Maybe not the Viper ACR or Corvette ZR1, but the ZO6 and SRT10, much faster.
Also, the suspension of the WRX is made softer to accomodate for its lack of grip. The suspension allows the body to roll more, permitting more grip. However, the suspension is TOO soft. It is out-handled by the Evo everywhere, except the dirt tracks STOCK. However, in the actual rally racing specs, both cars are given all the same SPECS with different tuning setups. Mitsubishi holds the record for the most wins in a row in the WRC. They won FOUR IN A ROW. (Tommi Makinen! Finland's best!!!)

Actually, that isn't a stock STi if you listen to him. It is an STi WRX WR1. 315 hp, 308 tq, very close to the Evo FQ 320. So they are very close, with only about 5-10hp difference, which shouldn't make much difference. Stock Evo and STi would be a very even match, too. The thing is, Evo's accelerate more quickly, magic Mitsu engineering at work. Also, funny thing is, Subies are 2.5L engines vs. Mitsu 2.0L, so you wonder why they can't do more with that.

I own an 04 WRX, so I love me some subbies. The STi is a car I look forward to owning some day. I used to like Evos, but with the 10 they turned me completely off. If I ever bought an Evo it would have to be a 9.......and lord knows I'd never find one unmolested ;_;

The new evo isn't shit to the new subaru yeah it may be ugly but i think they're both pretty gross. mitsu website new evo=291 hp and the new hatchback subaru which ways a ton less and has 356 hp. And i for one can support and back up my facts.

@TPNEWYORKER yep because it's more reliable if there isn't too much pressure on the engine from a massive turbo so it would need something a bit smaller so therefore buying one with good power and good reliablilty is the way to go and also the engine will last longer

the simple fact is that evo is better around corners on tarmac. scoobys are better at everything else including straight line speeds the wr1 can do a quater mile in 12.8 seconds which i think is pretty quick for a 2.0. if you think im wrong about the conering stuff subaru have more wrc titles than mitsubushi. i own a wr1 at the minute before hand i had just a wrx and everytime i see an evo i still think what a gorgeous car to look at

BAD CHOICE!!! You owned yourself. A 1:26, is supercar territory! The Evo FQ400 is faster than the Gallardo, Murcielago, Viper and Corvette. I promise. Maybe not the Viper ACR or Corvette ZR1, but the ZO6 and SRT10, much faster.

Also, the suspension of the WRX is made softer to accomodate for its lack of grip. The suspension allows the body to roll more, permitting more grip. However, the suspension is TOO soft. It is out-handled by the Evo everywhere, except the dirt tracks STOCK. However, in the actual rally racing specs, both cars are given all the same SPECS with different tuning setups. Mitsubishi holds the record for the most wins in a row in the WRC. They won FOUR IN A ROW. (Tommi Makinen! Finland's best!!!)

i had that wr1...... its fastest subaru they make basically in straight however evos do handle better.....evo interior not as good...its just opinion..that wr1 would beat that evo in straight according to the stats everywhere.....i want evo for next car...also that wr1 is rare.....1 of 500 ever made, only come in that colour..

Actually, that isn't a stock STi if you listen to him. It is an STi WRX WR1. 315 hp, 308 tq, very close to the Evo FQ 320. So they are very close, with only about 5-10hp difference, which shouldn't make much difference. Stock Evo and STi would be a very even match, too. The thing is, Evo's accelerate more quickly, magic Mitsu engineering at work. Also, funny thing is, Subies are 2.5L engines vs. Mitsu 2.0L, so you wonder why they can't do more with that.
