Looks like did'nt touch home plate before the tag, but, at least, he touched plate at the same time he was tag. According to the rules, he have to beat the ball, he have to beat the tag, he have to touch the plate BEFORE being tag. At the same time, he's out.. If you cross a railroad at the same time of a train, are you safe?
At first glance he looks safe. Watching the replay for the second time you can see he never reaches home plate. It's nice to see an umpire that not in Coach "shoes" back pocket.. Great call!
your all mentally ill! the catcher jumps to catch the ball, and comes down on top of the kids head. if u have any baseball sense at all! u would know that he was safe
no, its Sammy Teahan in right field and Jefferson Court catching. And, give it a look-he was out. Another RUC that cant see things straight even when it hits them in the face. "BYU-where the campus is our world."
if you can pause it at :52 right when the tag is applied you can still see runners feet not at the plate yet. another douchebag announcer that didnt wait for the call.
@ptsofauthority555 alright, ill stop it at 0:52. but just for ur info umpires dont have the ability to stop time. HES OUTTA THERE!!! and btw that field is really awesome! theres mountains in the background.
Man....who was the right fielder that threw that ball? Great arm. And, the catcher made a great play as well. Whats with this state? They never even say the players names that were involved in this play. He was definitely out.
Absolutely amazing...I had to slow this way down, and the umpire made a great call on a bang bang play without the benefit of being able to see it on Youtube. GREAT call, and the runner is TOAST at home!
He was out. The lead leg was folded at the time of the tag. If the runner has it straight out, he is safe but it wasn't, so he was out. Good call, Blue!!!!!!!!!!!
He was clearly out. Great call!

He was out. The person with the camera should try to umpire someday. He really needs to see what it is like.
