All bottling line companies say this!!! I don't mean to be so negative but I work for a mobile bottling line who use three separate trucks with three different filling manufacturers and in terms of O2 pick up the gai comes last. Our Bertolaso and Fimer lines have always given us lower O2 pickup.
All bottling companies say this!!! I don't mean to be so negative but I work for a mobile bottling company who own three separate trucks with three different bottling manufacturers and in terms of oxygen pick-up gai was the worst. Our Bertolaso and Fimer lines have consistently less O2 pickup.
I am glad you are happy with your machines. I visit many wineries in Napa and Sonoma and I keep hearing of problems with parts that are unavaialble from Bertolaso. There don't seem to be many Fimer machines around, I can only think of yours.
GAI is the only manufacturer in Italy that produces every part of its filling machines and can even supply parts for 30 years old Monoblocs. Perhaps you can visit our showroom to take a closer look at the most recent design of machines.
GAI's Monoblocs are just the best! The unique design of the wine line feeding from the bottom of the filler bowl is just one example. The most prestigious wineries in Bordeaux, Barolo and Napa have a GAI Monobloc for two main reasons: lowest oxygen pick up, and sterilization efectiveness.
I completely agree with you on the maintenance! If everyone maintains their equipment properly and operates the equipment properly then many problems become non-existent. But from what I have seen, people in the industry generally dont know how to take care of their equipment and Thats where the problem starts!! In any case keep up the good work, and if you decide in the future to buy new, let me know. I am very familiar with the industry and I can suggest cheaper and equal quality options!!!
Every machine new will work fine. The problem arises when the machine starts to become old, the service department for the people who sell GAI is HORRIBLE (I will not mention who). Also, when it comes to cleanliness GAI has not designed the filler very well. The lifting cams on the filler are external. Over time they become dirty and are completely visible. Most other manufacturers keep the cams inside the bottom of the machine. And imprestiks are good however expensive!
My truck is 10 years old and its all about how you maintain it ! I have had NO problems with my monobloc whatsoever. Keep it lubed and clean and it will run forever.
Nice video, but why did you go with Gai? Aside from the fact that they dont have the best record there are many other cheaper and better options! Did you get the equipment second hand?
I would like you to explain what you mean about gai's reputation. No all our equipment is brand new and runs without a hitch. We use the impresstik labeller which is far superior to a gai labeller.
