@CaneTopper, I really like english people ! They are more easy going and open minded than the French. And even english literature is, for my taste, one of the best in the World. French people are boring to death, not quirky enough for me. I lived in London 20 years ago, it was the best time in my life !
Now, i'm looking to go back to England. I work home for an online society, so I can live wherever I want in the word. Holmes belongs to those characters I love among english culture.

You enjoy a piece of apple tart, they scream : you'll get obese. Well, what shall we do ? I love Holmes and his century. They had their problems, sure, but they were at least free to make a choice about what they wanted to eat or drink or smoke. Do we have to stop all this because people exagerate and die early ?
if you cant drink in one of the worlds motherland of wine, where the hell can you drink? i fancy, ppl nowadays want to live as long as possible so they forget to live in the present.

You're welcome, thx for commenting. Even the latest BBC tv-adaptation of Holmes, named "Sherlock", is smokefree. Sherlock uses nicotin patches instead. What a joke! Ok, cigarettes are bad, but let the man have a pipe now and then.
