  • Awesome song! I never thought a song that had the lyrics "scared shitless" would be so incredibly intense and real. This song haunts me! Great song from a great album!

  • DBT

  • Thought about this song when I heard that Billy Powell had died. I saw him and Gary on CMT talking about the crash with this playing. I was at this show, thanks for putting it up. I hope you are at the Peel for the 2 shows this weekend 30&31.

  • First heard this song driving down Route 1. Couldn't help but spend the rest of Thanksgiving Day in a funk

  • Agree with the first comment on this video - please always leave it up! wonderful hearing this played live.

  • Is it just me or does it seem like their singing about Lynyrd Skynyrd and the plane crash

  • yeah they are. you need to check out the Southern Rock Opera album. it is a concept album about skynyrd and the south. this is the albums finale.

  • @BKO94

Yes....That's what the song is about.

  • This is the most spine chilling song I have ever heard. Damn, it brought me to tears.

  • yeah its pretty intense for sure...especially when you are right there in front of them live...glad you felt it. ROCK ON!

  • I wish I could see them live. One of my favorite bands ever.

  • Yeah, it gets me everytime. Patterson just captured that feeling of descending and your time being up as you watch yourself go down. It really puts you there. I just imagine how scared all the guys in Skynyrd must've been, and it really gets to me and brings me to tears...amazing lyrics and chord change. So stark, respectful, and honest...just like Ronnie would've wanted.

  • was there......this tune brought the house down. unbelieveable energy this band exudes! be there again 3/29/08

  • im seeing them at the orange peel in march this year Woooh!

  • Nice recording, and awesome song!

  • Thank you ...so glad you liked it.

  • These guys are so nice to listen to. A change of pace in a bland music scene these days.

    Great tune.

  • thats the truth...I just love them.

So glad you enjoyed the video..if ya ever get the chance to see them live you should.

They put on an amazing show.

    Take care.

    peace

  • RIP Ronnie

  • Thank you. Don't ever take this down.
