@DanTheFordFixer Dan, I actually built it top down and solved the issues as they came up. I would be happy to answer any questions you have and explain the operation. I just have no plan on paper for the clock. Sorry.
@cowboyfimbop Thanks, I appreciate the compliment. I had built others before, but they were put together with regular tin/lead solder. Unfortunately, they fell apart from the vibrations over the years. This one was silver soldered with a jewelers torch which has allowed it to keep going for 30 years.
That is so awesome, I just learned of the rolling ball clock from an antique auction show on tv and YouTube'd it. I definitely have to say this is the most beautiful and awesomest of all that I've come across on YouTube here. well done.
@asoldierseyes Thanks, it is and was intended to be something fun to watch and still fulfill a purpose. it is next to our dining room table and is a great source of conversation. So glad you enjoyed it.
@TommyWylie Tommy, my first response was not posted, I think because I included my web page address. I plan to dedicate a page to the clock with closeups and explanations of the operation. Thanks for the compliment.
@TheRedRecruiter You were 2 years old when I made this one. It is one of your earlier memories. Thanks for helping me get the video up on YouTube. Dad

Fantastic work! It would be good to see it in closeup, especially the striking section.
