and thaks for the help ;) i am new in 3dsmax..

  • what the heck everytime i bring in the blue print it always blurry and i have the clearest blueprint ever! help me !

  • @TutorialMan97 Then you didn't watch the whole tutorial, if you goto 3:54 i will show the settings for bitmap in viewport.

  • @CgAlekz Thanks man been looking everywhere on how to fix it.

  • @TutorialMan97 really late. but if you still want to know go to material editor. the scroll to Bitmap Parameters. then Cropping/Placement. select Place instead of crop.

  • im following what your doing but when i drag the image over it doesnt load up the image in the plane!

  • @niall64255 I'm assuming you mean when i drag the image in the material editor?

In that case, if you use 3Ds max 2011 it doesnt work to just drag over, you will have to go in the material editor, click on the bitmap slot (the little box right to the diffuse color) and then choose "bitmap", and navigate to your image, and click ok.

  • @CgAlekz do you really have to do that in the 2011 version? i just dragged and dropped and it worked fine, using the old material thingy

  • @Ciemon I've tryed to drag and drop in both material editors in max 2011, didnt work... kinda sucks.

  • @CgAlekz strange :O i just made a multi & sub object thingy stuff thing and then made a sub material for each texture, and then dragged them onto those and i was done. :O

  • hey i do everything u do but wen i drag the picture it dsnt come up on the sphere its jst like a solid sphere woth no lines plz help me.. because i am stuck =/ ???

  • "...and you can also click J to remove.. these.. stupid things"

    epic :P nice tutorial, thanks!

  • do you live in ocean?

  • good tut! even though your voice is weird.. but doesn't matter for me :P

  • U sound like a robot lol

  • i got a problem, when i import HD pictures they dont have some lines,or the picture is horrible

  • Darth Vader? dude put your own voice.

  • @MARTE221 Hahaha, it IS my own voice.. its just my mic that is really bad.

  • @CgAlekz sorry lol. you are brilliant with 3DS I wish i knew how to use it as much as you do, I just got the software and I can barely make a cube lol. I'm really interrested in car design I make relly good sketches but I want to make them 3d and its pretty difficult!, I dont know how to cut the lines to add a DOT. I used to have anim8tor years ago and I knew somewhat my way around it but this is too difficult :(

  • @MARTE221 Heh, well thank you :) Ohh.. anim8tor, thats actually the first 3D software i used, its like.. 4-5 years ago i think. I'm glad you'r in to car modeling, but its one of the hardest things you model, if you want to make a good detailed car. I've modeling cars since i started with 3D, and i'm still having difficulties making them look real. Just run trhough as many tutorials u can find, and youll get good ^^ Also i might make car modeling tutorial some time.

  • @CgAlekz thanks man, and yes! it would be so helpful if you would make a car modeling tutorial. but it doesnt has to be high polys, just enough for interior exterior, clear headlamps, semiclear smoked windows low polys or as much as you need without going wayyyyy too detailed just enough to project the dimmenssions and curves also like car paint material would be helpful, you can even take a cylinder and just texture to make it look like wheels no need to go detailed on that

  • @MARTE221 If i first do a car tutorial, its gonna be somehow detailed, mabye not as detailed i make cars usually, but its gonna cover all you need for the exterior, hopefully.

  • I have a question if my image is like 1020pix by 1800 pix is it too big because its not working for me.

  • @Clambercty you could take it to photoshop or any other image editing program and scale it down?

  • when i click show end result no thing happen and it just change the size ?

  • wish audio wasn't echoed.

  • but when i set it the plane take over the whole thing

  • @chris3d165 take over the whole viewport you mean? just zoom out :) or press "z" on your keyboard, it will fit all in your scene automaticly in the frame.

  • Stupid Things. That's a good joke :DDD. I want to create car mod for GTA 4. This tutorial is one of "how create a mod for GTA 4" part? Good tutorial. Sorry for my bad english.

  • @Eimantaaz WE CAN REALLY PUT CREATIONS IN GAMES?

  • @chris3d165 I don't know so why and i asking CgAlekz. He maybe know it

  • @chris3d165 Yes ofcourse.

  • @CgAlekz

can you link me to a vid on how by personal msg since lonks cant post here thx

  • @Eimantaaz No, this is not a "how to creat a gta 4 mod" tutorial.. i dont know how to do it myself, so ya. :)

    and thanks.

  • @CgAlekz I've been download one gta car mod and in that car readme file was writed that one of all programs which author used is 3DS max 2009

  • Thanks for the tip!
