  • mute button thanks

  • NO flying planes. Just a photoshoot sequence. Nice warbirds though, but Youtube looks better with VIDEOS, not powerpoint presentations.

  • I see some warbirds on the ground in Georgia, not over Georgia.

also when does the video start?

  • pictures on youtube? lol

  • ZEROS 12'O'CLOCK HIGH THIS IS NOT A DRILL

  • =( i wanted to see them fly

  • hey mcfootball do you know the owner of the ov10?

if so put me in touch.

    thanks.

  • pretty sure youtube can play VIDEO!!! :) wish i could have gone...

  • Are the corsairs and the zero the same scale? The Zero looks puny!

  • Love the planes!!!! Hate the music. How about something from the WWII era?

  • GOOD

  • I have enjoyed this clip a lot; the music, and the fine scale models. I have not seen any Sandys as models before, and that is a mighty fine Rare Bear. I prefer Rare Bear's current paint job, but I did not build the model. The current paint job would be very difficult to reproduce, and be quite expensive to get the effect right. Seeing a model of an unlimited racer is quite a treat! I have been right up close to the real thing at Reno. All of the examples look good...

  • Awesome video!

  • lol i guess he was trying to make it as close to the original as possible

  • @evilcrawlingeye #1) It's "swastika"....#2) for an authentic representation of the aircraft.....why not? Do I think what happened during WW2 was a particularly high point in the history of Germany? No. Were all Germans on board with Hitler's plan? No. There's more to it than I can type here but your comment really makes no sense. It's just a model. For those who still bellyache about it.....it's over. By the way...did you spend anytime in a camp? Does it really affect you that bad?

  • @DRG1939 see, proof- grammar nazi

  • @evilcrawlingeye I'm not a "proof -grammar nazi"...you're just an ass. If you're going to post a comment, get it right. What you don't realize with such a shallow view with your initial comment was that all Germans weren't subscribing to Hitler's views. Did you happen to see "Valkyrie" or any documentaries of said topic. A lot of people went along with it for fear of their personal safety. Im of German descent yet you don't see me lining people up for their demise. Face it, Hitler was whacked.

  • @evilcrawlingeye ...let me reword that. Some went along with Hitler's view for fear of their safety. However, there was a sizable group that had distaste for that point of view. Look up Claus von Stauffenberg.

  • I will let you reword. You have now reworded. Sorry DRG a recent block buster doesnt affect the symbol, even in light of its previous history before 1939. I do not insinuate germany personally with anything other than hoegarden and good looking girls, amoung other great achievements. But if i ever hold a celebration of german military history, that symbol will be left out rightly. I never dug an entire country into this, just one symbol and is needless representation on a model airplane.

  • "For those who still bellyache about it.....it's over"

Jesus- fucking - christ. Thanks whoever you are. I am not a representative of anything relating to this subject, i fully admit. But please give me your e mail, and i will address cohesive and unintrusive reasons and facts as to why a bellyache will (i hope) continue on this issue.

  • I would, since it is historically accurate! Eliminating the insignia does not make the past go away.

  • Not trying to make the past go away, whats wrong with an Iron Cross instead?

Talking from your side of things, why would you want people to look up at your awesome planes and then notice the little reminder on the tail and wings? Its akin to smearing excrement on a fine work of art in a gallery

A game called WWII Online, played by thousands and thousands of people every day (MMORPG) doesnt have anything other than iron crosses on its vehicles, for a reason. The same one im putting you you.

  • @evilcrawlingeye p.s good luck trying to fly them in germany itself, you'd be arrested, but im just some random guy on the internet caught up in the past right? An entire diplomatic country doesnt see it that way though. So click the thumbs down all you guys want >

  • There is a clip showing a german with his FW-190 in Germany (on this site) flying with swastikas on the tail. I do not know when the clip was taken, or what the current status of the modeler or model is; but the clip is posted. I do not know if he was arrested.

  • I don't care what people think, that is their prerogative! WWII era German military equipment have swastikas on them; and the General Lee has a rebel flag on its roof! My model FW190 was equipped with ALL of the correct markings! If I build a replica General Lee, I will put a rebel flag on the roof... Way too much political correctness; Historical representation does not reflect a person's politics or beliefs! We need to remember the past; so we don't repeat it! Please; GET A LIFE!

  • I never said it represented your beliefs, and there are parts of society for teaching the past outside of whats meant to be an entertaining model plane show just fine.

So i assume you wont mind if i build an airliner with the same serial markings as American Airlines Flight 11? With allah akbar written in Urdu on the wings? Id be representing the Al-Qaeda past we shouldnt forget.

  • @evilcrawlingeye Whether the actual planes had that on it or not is not the point im trying to convey, i know these german planes did, and to be fair had the terrosists had the chance i figure they would of liked to do just as i said to that plane.

Its an elephant in the living room with those markings, and you can judge me all you want, i think its a needless inclusion from people detached from the events explained by veteran and victim alike.

  • Actually it is the point! The persons that built these models were crafting historic miniature examples in likeness to the best of their ability. When a feature is missing, it looks "off", or "naked" The youngest concentration camp victims that would have much of an understood memory would be at least in their seventies. The average survivor would be much older. Most of these folks are not around anymore. The general populus remembers history in practical ways, not special learning venues.

  • I did not mean that you said this. If you wish to build a scale mobel of AA flight 11, why knock yourself out! Would be a nice tribute. .But adding the features mentioned would bring mixed emotions, depending on the critic's perspective, and would likely get you labled an "activist" due to the historical INACCURACY. If Al-Qaeda had used their aircraft this way, or had actually made these modifications to the a/c; it would be permissable, and historically accurate.

  • You're trying to make a political statement out of art. My family was involved with the Confederate Air Force.(Commemorative, PC police) Some of the folks involved were/are jewish, were, are war vets, etc. All of the aircraft had ALL of the correct markings on them. I also remember seeing R rated nose art. Most of the victims recognise the difference between politics/ ideals, as opposed to a historical display of war relics, and/or replicas. You don't have to view this art if offended!

  • Thats a retarded comparison.

There is no Allah Akbar written in Urdu on the wings, AND THATS THE POINT.

    historical accuracy.

    jackass

  • @jdoernte I know that, but if there was you wouldnt mind right?

  • well, since we are in fantasy land, yes, if there was an American Airlines Plane that had Allah Akbar written on the wings, then if SOMEONE wanted to make a model of THAT plane, then he SHOULD be able to buy decals that have "Allah Akbar" and not "Axxxh Axxxr" because EVEN THE SIGHT of "Allah Akbar" is SO FUCKING OFFENSIVE.... wahhh! I'm american and I want to bitch and sue somebody because LIFE is SO OFFENSIVE to me!! Where is my lawyer?!

    ;)

  • @jdoernte So you wouldnt mind....ok, just checking.

  • Comment removed

  • If it is historically accurate, it goes. If not, it is bull!

  • @tz138 Thank you very much....well put!!

  • @tz138 we won the war and with it come the right to do as we please. see its good to win wars, you get to write the rules. you get to keep the colors of your flag. and if you nuke them they really understand loosing and they give up without an insurgency

god i hope we nuke the next war.

  • @datzfast the argument was kind of stupid. We know that the builders are likely not members of the NAZI party. And before Hitler, that symbol meant something completely different. A similar simbol was also used by Finland on their aircraft. Some have used sensitivity to push political agendas, this is one of those examples. In america, we have the freedoms to our opinions. Some can object, while the builders can ignore them. Yes, we won, and yes, we wrote the history on it.

  • @datzfast swatika leagal in USA swastika illegal in germany see its good to be on the winning side of history.

  • @datzfast hi. you're a drooling fucking moron.

    ok thanks now, bye!

  • Yes, Please what is the name of the song? Its sounds like Bush, but what is the name ??

  • It is Bush, but I don't know the name!

  • It's Bush-War Machine...Cool planes!

  • What is the name of this song, please?

  • I really like the Hell Diver and Corsair

  • the plane at 1:31 is a jet engine. Its name is the Vampire. Its British.

  • At 1:31 I see an OV-10 Bronco, no Vampire anywhere in this video.

  • Hi!

    I´m from Germany.

    What does "GA" mean?

  • Hello to Germany from America. "GA" is an abbreviation for the State of Georgia. Every state has it's own 2-letter code based on the letters of the states name. I live in a small state in New England, named "Vermont", and our code is "VT". Massachusetts=MA while Maine=ME and Minnisota=MN. Florida=FL, Virginia=VA, California=CA, and so on, for all 50 states. It was originally meant to help the Postal Service, but is used regularly instead of the full title. Us Lazy Americans! LOL. ;)

  • Ah, I see. Thanks for this information, Justforever96!

We do in Germany the same. But only in some of our federal countries (staates) with very long and unpractical names. I live in Nordrhein-Westphalen. But everybody says only NRW.

  • Gerogia. A state over here, Gutentag Comrade!

  • Georgia

  • City: Andersonville

    State: Georgia

    Country: United States

  • Thank you, Ripu! :)

  • great and awesome!!

  • I agree with pencon61, the soundtrack is waaaaaaaaaay better than most of the lame crap that gets added to r/c model videos - esp. when it comes to warbirds! nice work mcfootball. enjoyed it.

  • i like the jet. and the cost gaurd lol

  • Nice planes. If I have time, I'll try to make a model of a Ho-229 or Ta-183 with a simple pulse jet.

  • Very cool! Thanks for posting.

  • drooooool

  • That BF109 at 1:42 is different class.

  • me-109 /Drooling my god they r nice

  • yeah, man, always loved the me-109's, america may have made the a-bomb but the germans pretty much had jet technology perfected. beautiful planes.

  • Groovy.

Had no idea the "me-109s" were using "perfected" jet technology. Could you be talking about the Bf109 powered by a Daimler-Benz?

Now, does this "perfected" jet technology you mention pertain to the Jumo jet engines in the 262 that required complete overhaul every 8-10 hours?

"The first time I saw a 262......I shot it down."

    ~Chuck Yeager

  • im not going to argue over something trivial with someone trying to be politically correct. People like you make me smile.

  • Why would you argue?

A dose of truth has been dealt you.

    Smile.

  • wow your ignorant

  • The proper use is "you're"

Your would denote possession, such as "Hey jonadamn, your comments are impotent."

  • I went to this show! They had so much stuff it was unreal. These guys really go all out!

  • They are not planes! They are works of art each and all of them.Did you get to see them fly?

  • Yes.. They looked great in tha air as well. A few of them were lost during the weekend for different reasons. It hurts to see one go down, but we get to walk away from every crash...

  • @mcfootball 100% agreed they are not planes they are masterworks

  • @mcfootball You fly them, you crash them, you break them. Thats the law of flying RC. Awesome planes :D

  • Cool stills...some very nice scale stuff there...Thanks for posting it!!
