  • Hi Kimber, I watched this video for the lower undulations. The way you showed it was very helpful.

  • Are you saying opposites for right and left so it looks right on the camera? because i notice that everytime, but you're a breat teacher either way, i've learned a lot from you thank you =)

  • do a bellyroll lesson

  • .u can make complex things so simple...thts the quality if a good teacher..hatss off

  • The way you teach undulations is really great. You are very detailed and I have gotten better since watching you do it. Thank you so much.

  • I love how you just take off and start having fun with it, lol. Thanks again! Big help!

  • I love your videos. =) I'm an intermediate dancer with a lot to learn and you explain it better than my dance teacher sometimes. =) Keep it up!

  • i need some good music..

  • great vid.love it

  • this is going to my favorites : )

  • I want the music, anyone has link download

  • You are a very good teacher. You explain things very well and in an easy way to follow. I have been practicing bellydancing for years, and I adore it. I appreciate your videos, I have actually seen a few moves that I have been doing for a while, but have not been specifically taught anywhere else. I sort of had to figure them out for myself. Thanks for helping me perfect some of my moves.

  • Funny when u emphasize "No u'r not a pole dancer".

I once know a girl who taught body wave by making ppl imagine the same thing. Yup u gotta touch every inch of the pole, or wall watever :))

  • you are a very good teacher, thank you so much!

  • I love this soooo much !!! You explain it so good :) Well done!

  • Oh, thank you so much! I have just started practicing with a DVD. For some odd reason, while they broke down every other type of movement into something I could easily manage, they decided to abandon that method in favor of a more "natural" approach to explain the body wave, using primarily visualizations to explain the technique. It didn't work for me, and I was left feeling extremely frustrated. Thanks for relieving me of such frustrations!

  • I really get it.... with you..great teacher!

    Thank you so much!

  • good job....thanks for sharing

  • ko ke diosaa ke eress graziass!!!

  • thanks for sharing!

    5 stars!!!

  • Wonderful videos!! You just HAVE to make a DVD!!!

  • OMG!! you're the best teacher ever!!!!

  • I tell you ... You are a great teacher.. i mean i can really learn from you .. you are teaching me .. tysvvm.

  • so beautiful , wow I want to master it. teach me please

  • this is great! I've been wanting to learn to belly dance for sometime. The only problem is, I have a very small chest, and a larger stomach, so it's hard to push out my bra. I got the stomach and hip part down though. Hopefully once I'm in shape again, I can dance for my husband and look sexy doing it. Thankyou so much for the video taping!

  • You dance and teach the movements very well. Did you make a CD or a DVD that I could buy? Thanks and congratulations.

  • I've come to learn that bellydancing doesn't help you to loose weight, and thats what a lot of women dont understand, it helps you to learn to love yourself and to isolate, control and strenghen muscles! :) Lots of fun though!

  • very well spoken. Belly dancing makes a woman feel beautiful - that beauty then radiates out. I love this dance that can make all my sisters feel beautiful!!!

  • hey i think u r great im trying to learn but it doesnt look right , im kind of skinny and i dont have that bottle shape am still able to belly dance without much belly?

  • yes - you will develop your own style - keep practicing

  • the thing is i dont even remmeber watching this thing lol but my sis can do it

  • Actually, where could i find the CD it's on?

  • Hey! I'm doing belly dance too :) I really like the way you show the moves :P Do you think you could tell me the title of the song in the back? It's really pretty pretty :) Thank you

  • the reason belly dancing helps lose weight is that we feel more sexy and beautiful so we are inspired not to overeat!

  • Can you really lose weight while belly dancing? I'm trying to find a fun, new, yet effective exercise!

  • I cant say that i have ever lost weight bellydancing - but it does change your inner core muscle. belly dancing makes you feel beautiful from the inside out.

  • ich check die net sry

  • This is so helpful! Undulations are one of the hardest things to me for some reason.

  • Most western dancers are too slim to do real belly dance, which involves undulating the stomach muscles. To compensate, they use the hips too much. The stomach is more important to this dance; you are saying: this is my womb, come and make me fertile.

  • I was taught that it was orginated a dance for women by women - men didnt watch. I guess there are many interpretations of the dance.

  • Bellydance is for all genders and body types.

  • you have a wonderful skills to teach and it really helps. Thank you very much :-)

  • it helps alot! thank you so much!

  • heyy just to lett you know ur really good and its good that you can help people so many people ask me to teach them and i didnt think of a way to teach all, because i dont show my belly but i think ur great :> and a good help

  • you're the best.. are you a professional instructor ? if not, you should be...

    Aida

  • this this so awesome!thanks!

  • omg, i am a really skinny girl, do i have to have some meat on me before i can do these moves?

  • You don't need a specific body type to bellydance. The movements will look slightly different on different body types, but that's ok.

  • yay! I'm getting better at undulations woohooo!

  • Hey!!!

Great video, you helped me a lot. And I love the song, it's relaxing. Could you tell me the name of it and the artist? I need it ^^

    Tanx!!!

  • The Seventh Veil by Aradia & DJ Zen fromt eh sensual Belly dance

  • I cannot find any other good teacher like you. Really thanks.

  • Cool!! thanks.

  • thanks!

  • wooooo thanks for all of these, you are a star, i went out for a day out the other week and saw an amazing lady perform and after that i found someone that done it aswell and she showed me a few moves ,i really want to start doing it but there are no nearby classes. so im going to follow videos for time being, what move should i start on??? many thanks Susie X

  • Thank you I 've been looking all over you tube tryign to find this!!! thank you!!!!

  • wooow very nice ,you learn this very good thanks

  • how long does it take to learn the bellyroll?

  • depends on how "in touch" you are with your different ab muscle. try doing them laying flat on your back, knees bent, so the spine is supported.

  • just wanted to say thank you for your videos. the pole tip really helped me actually lol. my instructor noticed the difference. ive only just started but i really like bellydancing and i hope you'll continue to make videos because they really are helping me. their short but very informative! thank you again!

  • thanks for the free instructions, this is great :D

  • thank you so much for sharing this. it's really useful.

  • fabulous! thanks for sharing your knowledge. can't wait till i learn enough where i don't look so clumsy. you, on the other hand, are ridiculously graceful. :)

  • thanks a lot!it's very useful

  • To clarify, the movement I'm trying to learn is the one you do in your Drum Solo Practice at 0:04 and 0:07. When you do it, it looks graceful and delicate. When I do it, I look like I'm hurling my lunch. :-( I just can't seem to get the hang of it.

  • believe it or not those are just small body wave with a chest drop. I can put it on video.

  • Thanks, that would be great!

  • phaery1 if it's any help, the Drum Solo kimbrgsm1 is Practicing is originally choreographed by Selina Star. I just watched Star perform it on a old 90's video. The move's clearly an ascending pelvic surge w/ chest drop. Starts from pelvis. May b I could post the Star video. Anyone know if 90's video will b of ok quality? It would help u w/ the move & combo.

  • Hello again. My former teachers are quite proud, thank you and my students have benefitted from my education, continued studies with master teachers (not just workshops) and years of experience. I am not pointing out differences in JUST your misuse of commonly used names, but also misinformation that will, at least, confuse your online 'students' and at worse injur them. You're welcome.

  • This IS a reverse undulation and no undulation should NEVER be taught with the weight off the 'front' foot or on the ball of one foot...start FLAT footed and transfer weight. If you're not very stretched out, you can lift heels.

  • Your teachers would proud that you have retained such knowledge (it is vast) and are taking the time to pass it on to others. While Alaska is a very isolated place my instructors are from here, I have also traveled "outside" and taken master such as Suhaila and Deliaha. I find nothing wrong with my terminology/technique, it just is different from yours. As an American Bellydance I look forward to your comments, they are resourseful for Middle Eastern style of dance, Thank you again

  • It's a reverse camel. It's like the movement you're teaching here, only the wave movement travels up the body, instead of down. Sorry I can't describe it better than that.

  • that works i will see if i can do a video this saturday

  • Could you also do a video on reverse undulations, please? I've seen dancers do one that's belt-belly-bra, but I can't quite figure out the mechanics of it.

  • the bra-belly-belt cues are more for full body, or camel undulations. are you talking about isolating just the belly? belly rolls?

  • You're really good and a wonderful teacher! Clear instructions!

  • ok my belly doesnt do that. I will keep trying.

  • you got it lots of practice. take breaks, after a while your belly will just do nothing. then start again
