  • Love Domhnall :)

  • @MadHatter13MarchHare It's Kerry Condon with The Pogues - can't help you with a download, though.

  • studing the play for the hsc, its quite violent...the bit that shocked me most i think is when they shot the cat on stage

  • @wellar6 its called black comedy! that's why its bloody and all of that! we read it in class! i love reading it and doing the irish accent and being able ot say "ah feck it!" .... such a good play though! :D

  • @ilovefluffysheep i know its called black comody. i'm also studying it. hsc and all. but it still shocked me. lol yeah our class all attempted to do a read through of the play in an irish accent too. some of it was a fail. its a good play, i wish they were preforming it in sydney, would love to go see it...they did one at Belvoire st theatre yrs ago

  • @wellar6 oh cool that would have been awesome! i wish i could have gone to that!... yeah our class failed in irish accents but it was fun anyway! :)

  • I loved it.

  • chris pine was incredible in this!

  • I'm seeing this thursday, hope it's good

  • This is an AMAZING play.

  • Best. Play. Ever.

  • "Its incidents like this that just put tourist off Ireland."

    i LOVE this play!

  • Who sings this version of "Patriot Game"?

  • It is sung by Kerry Condon, who played Mairead at the RSC and Off-Broadway before being replaced on Broadway by Alison Pill (Condon had to return to her regular job on HBO's "Rome" and the scheduling clashed. The musicians on the track are 4 members of The Pogues - Andrew Ranken, Jem Finer, Philip Chevron and Darryl Hunt, augmented by Stephen Warbeck. Ranken and Chevron also sing later in the recording, which was produced by Ranken especially at Martin McDonagh's request.

  • The track was used at the curtain calls every night at The Other Place, RSC Stratford-Upon-Avon, RSC Barbican Pit, The Garrick Theatre (West End), UK tour, Atlantic Theatre (Off-Broadway)and Lyceum Theatre (Broadway).

  • Mairead is one of my favourite female characters in a play ever . . . she's such a crazy bitch I love her! :D

  • As the Blood Effect designer for Lieutenant of Inishmore at the Atlantic, Lyceum, Southern Rep, Gable Stage and soon coming to the Alley as well as Syracuse stage, I must say, 21 years in this business designing effects. This play is by far this best script I've had the great fortune to design for. Many Thanks to Martin to remind me to keep writing as well.

  • I managed to see this by fluke when I found out that my great aunt's daughter's husband was in this (he's the one at 0:42). After seeing The Producers, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, this was by far the best play I have ever seen, and if you have the chance to go don't miss it.

  • I saw this in dutch, I hated it, only the music part where they're killing eachother was good

  • I read the play. Awesome. McDonagh should team up with Tarantino.

  • one of the best plays i've ever seen. if you can go see it GO... the brits are leaving in Sept.

  • I'm a cat lover and I haven't had a cat for almost a year (I still miss ya, Goldie! *choke*), but if I do get a male black cat, I'm gonna name him Wee Thomas after the one in the play. Oh, and by the way, the lead in the play (forgot the character's name) is a self-indulgent hypocrite who deserved what he got for shooting the other cat. Bastard!

  • His name is Padrai, and I absoultely adore his character. I was so lucky to get to see this on Broadway with almost the entire cast pictured here (our Padraic was different, but he was absolutely fantastic). This is by far the best production I've ever seen on or off Broadway. Yay for Martin McDonagh!!

  • i agree i loove the character and david wilmot is PERFECT for him!!-i wish i could of seen this

  • side note: I dont like the lack of blood on the video, because theres some scenes shown where they should be dripping it

  • this was a promotional video, so i think they didn't want to spoil anything about the story or the good stuff for the audience. That's why there isn't even a mention of a cat, or any of the gory blood.

  • I wish I could get a chance to see this production. I love, LOVE the script. Thanks for posting it!

  • BEST play I've ever seen (and probably ever will!)

Also I LOVE Daveys scream when his hair is cut off!
