The problem is not Obama who is investing in future tecnologies. The problem was power hungry Bush and the Republicans who invested in war and who were doing business with the same family who destroyed the twin towers.
@CuanMarce - Yes you are right, Obama is the "annointed one" ... so go follow yoour anti-christ leader into the hole. Bush did make mistakes and at least I am man enough to admit it. But you my mental friend are incapable as a Lib to do so.
Enjoy your high taxes that you and your friends have pushed for.
I love Obama. He taxes the hell out of big business so that he can tell the lower class that he is giving tax money to them but the big businesses cut back and drop the jobs for the lower class. Everyone loses.
@duvexy Poor fixed income senior citizen. Listen to what you just said. What happened to the poor senior citizen's retirement savings? Unless that was a serious comment, I don't understand what you said at all.
This whole gov't divide dems vs. rep, Is exactly what the gov wants. They keep US the people in disagreement while they get absolutely nothing done, Lie after lie is all we'll ever get, and both I repeat: Both parties are guilty of it! It all boils down to which party has control of the money. Hell they start off lying during the campaigns...and we expect them stop once they get elected? (Sigh) wake up folks! Get rid of one liar and they get replaced by another.
Bush came into an administration that had a balanced budget! He didn't do a good job on his watch. Our new President "elect" came into office with a huge debt, massive unemployment , bank failures, huge financial debacles, an oil crises that chocked Americans. Put America into a war that had no weapons of mass destruction.(and without consent to do so). Come on you guys where are you coming from. Our elected Pres. needs help and support in this GREAT LAND OF LIBERTY!
Bush had to spend money to clean up a mess that developed from Liberal Democrat Leadership. Look at the terrorist that grew up under Clinton's watch. Even your Clinton tried to kill Obama (sorry Osama) with a cruise missle but he was too scared to fire it. Typical Liberal, too scared. So you see your story is not balanced with facts.
A Quick Fix !!?? Yes you got it right ! Obama has been pushing MASSIVE SPENDING so quick! before Americans realize it's a sham ! As for spending, take a look at the Carter and the debt he racked up. Bush only spent $800 Billion. Obama is spending $7-8 Trillion almost 8 times !!!! and it's all borrowed. This is obscene. Also remember Bush held it all together to the end and then when the Liberal hordes were coming in, big investors bailed out. All thanks to the Democrats !
The national debt first loomed large with Reagan, and Presidents since then, both Republican and Democrat have added to it. The current administration was met with the most foreboding economic task in 80 years. Other crises, including 9-11 can't hold a candle to the scope and size of this one. They didn't create it, but they've researched the Japanese economic crisis of the 90's and other examples to come up with a solution. We're in uncharted waters. Beware those who have the quick fix.
Yes it is a situation that will take a while to fix. But Americans are resilient and will endure.
Thanks for your enlightened comments. Let's hope that America gets back on its feet soon and we can enjoy the prosperity we had before "W" came into office. We must all be positive and work together. it take a village.
I don't watch TV, especially Fox and CNN. They're not well known for disseminating facts, just spin. Here are some actual FACTS. In 1970, the debt was 37.6% of GDP. By 1980, at the end of Carter's term, it had dropped to 33.6% of GDP. After two Reagan terms and half of Bush, Sr.'s in 1990, it had 'orbited' to 55.9%. By the end of the Bush term, it had risen further to more than 74%. The horrible mess handed to us by W has forever vindicated Carter. Bad Presidency = Bush from now on.
I think you need to go back and do some better homework. Reagan INHERITED a huge deficit from CARTER'S LIBERAL SPENDING. Just like the next republican President is going to inherit from this idiot.
There's blame to share on the national debt issue among all recent Presidents. Your idol Bush is not an exception. The Congressional Budget office figures tell it as it is. You won't hear Fox or CNN reference them too often, and they report only parts of the story when they do. Reagan borrowed massive sums of money to stimulate the economy (a stimulus plan?), and the debt didn't significantly decrease after that. The myth that Republicans save and Democrats spend is just that...a myth.
Did I say that? No I did not. Bush did certain things that were not acceptable and at least I am man enough to admit it. Do you remember the 30% interest rates under Carter? Now tell me that that Liberal idiot did not wreck the economy?
I think each president delays action, takes the wrong action, or borrows to cover up problem. We could implicate Carter, Reagan, and Bush in that business, but you can't lay blame at any one leader's feet. Yes, Obama has put us in debt to a dangerous degree, but after taking a close look at what the damage from 15-20% unemployment and massive bank failures can do to a people and a nation, and this time the entire world, maybe he felt this was the lesser of two very ugly alternatives.
The problem is not Obama who is investing in future tecnologies. The problem was power hungry Bush and the Republicans who invested in war and who were doing business with the same family who destroyed the twin towers.

Barry Soetoro is not a natural born citizen and is a fraud. He should not have been allowed to run for office.
His background is all sealed and a secret yet he was allowed to run for president. He should be impeached.
He is nothing but another puppet for the Rockefeller NWO elitists in the CFR/Trilateral commission.
