what is "forku2umf" smoking? you don't want heat because your engine relies on heat? also... your turbo won't spool cold air that's why when you're in neutral you don't have boost but you don't have vaccum. it spools just enough to get rid of the vaccum unless you put too small of pipes on it and it restricts air flow it'll make like 3psi of boost in neutral or at idle but a lot less while your moving. Yes, I know what I'm talking about so don't even try telling my otherwise.

@forku2umf Seriously? I suggest you do some more research on combustion theory. In a diesel engine, lean = cold, rich = hot, so pouring black smoke = hot.

At idle it is very possible for a mechanical diesel to lean out past 100:1 air/fuel mixture, this is why a diesel idling in cold weather with no load doesn't make heat.

It is perfectly acceptable for a diesel to make not even a slight hint of smoke, it's just a whole lot harder and pricier to go much past stock and keep things clean.
