  • Ive been a T6-T7 paraplegic for 8 months now and watching your video of you and your family, really opened my eyes ,cause its so hard mentally for me. My 5 yr old girl told me that i shouldnt of been ridden my quad in the mountains. ''I flew off of one"

  • i love love love the pic @4:51!

  • I am producing a new documentary about the life of Dan Cummings, who was paralyzed in 2000 and learned how to walk and live outside of his wheelchair. An incredibly inspirational story. "Mile Of Hope: The Dan Cummings Story"

  • Hey Jason, I'm a C5-C6 Quad... I have a similar video of myself that I'd like to share with you when I went to a spinal cord recovery center in California. hope you are doing alright ;] stay strong.

  • this is so inspairing to me i am working on my degree in occupational therapy

  • Wow ur are an amazing man and u have a beautiful family

  • wow. im speechless. in 2 1/2 yrs since my accident i have not been real emotional about me being paralyzed. watching your vid changed all of that. i would tell you to keep your head up, but your obviously already doing that. congrats. i am a c6 c7 quad myself. this vid has really inspired me to work harder and to do more with my life. u have a beautiful loving family by the way.

  • sorry to hear about this. I am a para. while in the hospital i wrote my brother notes. wrote 4 notes. first note was tell my boss. second note was give me water. third note was tell these mfers to help me. fourth note was i am sorry. i am 8 months into my new life and i search these stories about 4 or 5 times a week and thank god for what i have. even when i have more ability i see these and feel so much better.

  • What a touching video. My husband dislocated his neck in 2009 in a swimming accident. He's a C5-6 (for now). Chiro is huge in his recovery. He just finished a half marathon. Very proud of him. You seem to be and extremely active person like my husband. He just bought a Freewheel which attaches to the footplate of his chair lifting the casters off the ground so you can wheel almost anywhere.

  • Sorry about your diving accident. I did the same last summer and am a quadriplegic as well. It looks like you have a great support system, which is key! Best of luck to you and your continued recovery!

  • ....sorry, one more thing.....WHAT AN AMAZING WIFE! I can see it in her eyes how much your family means to her! That level of support and love is what makes a man feel like a man. Thank you guys SO much for posting this series of videos! I read your story in the CRR.

  • The aura that envelopes your beautiful family made this grown man cry...I'm in Longview, and if you ever want to get out and do some hiking PLEASE let me know! If you want to go carve some turns on Mt. Hood, I'm down! You are a HUGE inspiration...13 years ago, I pulled my friend to safety after a diving accident in the Deschutes River in Tumwater. He is a C5 quad, and put off his rehabilitation and missed his recovery window. My point? When life gives you lemons...make the proverbial lemonade!

  • too bad those lazy dumb ass scientists are to busy curing erectile dysfunction instead of paralysis

  • Thanks for sharing your story and letting others know that life is possible afterwards!!!

  • Very moving! You're truly an inspiration! Hope tomorrow goes well for you all! :)

  • Oh wait ... you've got a FreeWheel ... way cool!

  • Hey, get the FreeWheel and you'll be out hiking in the woods ... getting to a sit-ski ... don't give up!

  • Very inspirational!
