No, this video is from 1997ish.

....and it's the 2nd video for this track. The first video made for this track was a lot of live concert footage from japan.

Though the music here is from the 1993 single, not the 1995 album.

ever read an interview with these guys. Empire himself always said that the band ATR follows a concept of DJ culture and creating "collages" out of other music styles to bring people together to unite against the system. Alec is friends with Dave Grohl, its all cool

if you want to be a critic then you should base your criticism on facts. You can't just throw out an opinion if you don't understand the background these guys are coming from. A sample in DJ culture is a reference to music that is respected by the DJ. It's a quote. In ATR's world of techno to combine guitars with that message and electronics, it created a very powerful sound.

Imagine I come from China, hear Hip Hop the first time and go "oh these guys can't sing, they only talk. this bad bad."

Ah, if you listen very closely during the 1st chorus sweep, I am the second, exasperated "Yeeeahhh!" behind the cheering crowd, the loudest voice, and the youngest sounding female. I am also sampled near the end, crying "Teenage Riot!" if you listen hard enough. Its a bit softer in this particular sampling, but still audiable. Take good care!

So I wondered what atari teenage riot meant, and this is what I cam up with. Atari is like the sponser, like the Nextell world cup. They have a lot of youth rights songs, like Kids United and Too Dead For Me. So It sounds like a riot of teenagers sponsered by atari, or violent video games in general because they are a scapegoat for teen violence

This is version #2 of the ATR video.

this one was made around probably early 1997 because Grand Royal wanted a version with more shots of their faces. The original is pretty much all live footage from when they played a huge festival in japan. I always liked this version more.
