  • Missouri loves company!

  • Despite what the Republicans say, this man speaks of his policy changes in detail regularly. I could probably name ten intelligent, common sense policies he has proposed for his presidency, and I've never even visited his website.

  • You can do it!!

I want you be a president of the US

  • Canada supports you!!!

    Do what you gotta do.

    You bring hope and happiness.

    Please don't stop...

  • he's awesome.

i'm british, and i wish we had a PM like Obama, he talks so much sense. he just seems solid.

  • That's exactly Obama's biggest problem is that he makes too much sense...bush's lunacy has really been ingrained in the fabric of America and it's going to be very difficult to overcome...simply speaking American's are unable to think for themselves they don't see an honest decent man as everyone overseas does they are afraid of him???

  • if i was an american, i would vote for obama

  • At times you really cant believe everything a candidate says. How much of it will they follow through with. But Barack speaks with such power. So i say VOTE OBAMA!

  • Wonderful speech!

Does anyone happen to know what he thinks on Al Gore's new challenge to be 100% sustainable/renewable resources in 10 years?

He touched a little on that we need to be heading in that direction but he hasn't said if he supports it outright from what I have seen.

And if you haven't seen Mr. Gore's new speech you should, it is really good too. Very moving.

But all in all, Barack has my vote. Plain and simple. McCain is just another Bush, just different last name.

  • obama is unelectable... vote mccain

  • This is such a good speech!!

I hadn't listened to a full Obama speech outside of his one in Berlin in the past couple months. But even while reading several articles and watching ABC and MSNBC, all I was hearing was the fluffiest soundbytes from his campaign, and thought he'd lost his edge.

This speech disproves that completely. This speech is filled with solid proposals and meat and potato arguments.

Obama is a smart, compassionate man. He's not perfect, but he'll make a great president!

  • Well dude. I have been pretty much anti Obama. I'm still apprehensive but if this speech is anything close to reality???? Then he has my attention and probably my vote. McCain is disintegrating and getting decrepit right in front of my eyes man and that's scary.

God willing this guy is for real because he say's things that have stirred at many levels, just like Reagan did many years ago.

I don't know how good he'll B. We're headed into trouble. BUT 4now Obama seems to be the only way2 go.

  • we love you man and we need you

    our country needs you

we cannot wait for some other person

    or some other year

you are the chosen one Barack

    our angel!

  • You like the direction this country is going? Vote MCCAIN

You don't like the direction this country is going

    Vote OBAMA!

    That simple.

  • Go Obama ! This is what American needs, a strong, promising, and trusting leader. McCain is living with the past, you can't teach an old dog new tricks. If people are too rascist to believe in him .. then America is faced with bigger issues than the economy. We need to stop being childish about color and race .. Vote Obama !

  • If you want more pain..vote for McCain

    Obama '08..Yes We Can

  • HAHAHA... That's pretty good dude!

I'm anything but a Democrat.. but McCain is about 10 years past when he should have run... Besides I cringed when he tries to ridicule Obama for over inflated tires...

that's a proven meathod to increase milage.. he looked like a baffoon.

I liked what he says & will consider voting for'm... it's still 2 early bro but this McCain... he's a war hero & all but that doesn't mean he'll be able to be the prez.

I'm afraid U'r right, U want more pain? vote4 McCain

  • This time the Refoolagains and their boy McSame won't succeed. We're ready for their lies and the American people aren't going to let them ruin our country anymore! Our economy, our international standing, our military are all in ruins because these guys just want to make a profit and have us pay for it. It stops here!

  • Obama 08

  • Barrack is the most important presidential candidate of U.S History, and over at the UK we are praying the Americans do the right thing and vote for this man.

Someday, I want to be able to tell my grandchildren... YES WE DID.

    GO BAMA!! 08

  • hell, your from germany..

  • There is something inspirational about this man.

I hope America votes for this man,who is head and shoulders above the other candidate.

  • Saying that the add was simply false wasn't enough for you? Bottom line is, Obama is not going to be dragged into this silly accusation of being too much of a celebrity to be President. Last time I checked, the same argument was made about Reagan. Now Reagan is the heart of the Republican party.

  • Obama is what America needs right now. This country is in so much bad shape. McCain is seriously living in a cave if he thinks everything is right with this country. We need change! If we all vote Obama for president, we would all be helping to make this country better.

  • The Mcsame campaign has no vision or direction for this country, so in return they stepped up their attacks on Obama to distract and scare voters. A strategy that will fail this time around. Grumpy old men in the Republican party... get over yourselves. You guys are screwed in November. It's a new generation and new day!

  • what are you talkin about? McCain said Obama doesnt care about lowering gas prices because obama said no to new off shore drilling lands for oil companies...thats not true, obama wants oil companies to use their untapped 10,000 acres that THEY ALREADY OWN.

you're talking about mccain who is good at throwing dirt, while obama respect the old geezer to much to do that

  • After hearing this speech, how can people still say that Obama doesn't offer any specifics?

  • Because Obama's detractors don't actually like to listen... but they sure like to talk.

  • If McCain wins, the country will continue its march to hell. Race relations will get worse, economy will get worse, China and India will emerge as superpowers with more money and influence. If Obama wins, the country will come together as one. People will get excited about the future, other countries will begin to respect America again, new energy jobs will be created, American schools will start competing with China and India.Choose America; and then live or die with the result of your decision.

  • Talk about a speech full of substance!

  • Obama 08!

  • It's been a long time, but I think finally time has come when not only Americans but the whole world can look forward for better future. Finally the time for change is here.

  • Great speech. He clearly has ideas and he clearly knows the argument for change. There's more clarity in this speech than in any of McCain's speeches about what issues will ACTUALLY effect Americans and what he plans to do about it.

  • The truth of the matter is Americans are being taxed more heavily than ever under the Republicans.

WE ARE PAYING A %15 inflation on our products due to gas prices...and then paying record high gas prices.

Take a look at what the comptroller says about America's future on Youtube.

  • The first untrue statement is that offshore drilling will help lower gas prices. Even Bush admits it will take a decade, and McCain doesn't even want to keep the oil in the country, his plan allows the oil companies to sell it to the Chinese.

The second complete lie is that Obama wants to raise taxes on electricity. For the average American family, Obama's tax cut is $900 larger than McCain's.

Go to fackcheckdotorg The celeb ad is full of untrue statements.

  • while i agree with sen. obama's reasoning and policy proposals, i can't help but wonder why he has not put out attack ads against mccain that feature dancing girls.

why doesn't he pander to low information voters and support massive drilling everywhere? after all, it "resonates."

who cares if it's the worst possible long term "solution" to america's energy problems? THERE CAN'T BE ENOUGH INTELLIGENT VOTERS TO ELECT SEN. OBAMA ...can there? can there?

we'll see in nov, i guess.

  • Who slammed Obama with the soft-focus and sepia combination?

  • On vacation! LOL

  • I agree 100%!

  • Alynn...what proof DO you have McCain cares about anybody? What positive messages about the economy has he given?

  • Yes Obama! Wind, Sun energy is best!

  • THANK YOU OBAMA. McSame is his name and old school politics is his game. Im glad you put him(McSame) to shame. Im ready for a change.

Even McSame's own people dont stand behind him. Of course they have to fix McSame's bad comments, becaue thats what they are paid to do, even though they dont wont too.

  • This was truely a great speech...Loved it!!!

  • "The warming of the planet?" I stopped listening when he said that. :p

    Get your facts straight, people.

  • Try looking at McCain's Celeb ad from an unbiased perspective. You will find that the message near the end "higher taxes; more foreign oil" is untrue. For the majority of the people (working families), their taxes will be decreased. Also, Obama aims to achieve energy independence by utilizing renewable resources like wind and solar; not unsustainable, short-sighted political gimmicks like off-shore drilling McCain offers. Most objective news & fact-check groups consider McCain's comments untrue.

  • quit watching FOX {Freaking Offensive Xenophobia}news... look it up. a mind is a terrible thing to waiste...NOW THATS FAIR AND BALANCED REPORTING!

  • Barack's Dream Team vice Pres: Joe Biden Sec. Defense: Colen Powell Sec. State: Bill Richardson Sec. Homeland Sec. Gen. Wes Clark National health care: Hilary Clinton Find Peace between Isreal/Palastine: B.Clinton Poverty & Homeless: John Edwards Global warming/Alternative fuel: Al Gore Foreign Policy Advisor: Susan Rice & Evan Bayh Economic Advisors: Suzy Orman, Bill Gates, Waren Buffet, Earl G. Graves, Donald Trump Rebuild U.S. infrostructure: Mayor Bloomberg
  • why is mccain not running on the issues...but on idiot attacks on a smart man?

  • Less of a point and no real message? Guess you missed the second part of the ad where he supports middle class tax cuts and an investment in alternative energy. But your right though, nothing McCain said was untrue, although none of it was important either.

  • After hearing this entire speech, I really don't know where the McCain camp get a races statement. McCain is trowing stones while living in a glass house. I can't wait until these to debate. McCain is about a big of a bafoon as Bush.

  • Reason why gas prices so high even tho Saudis r pumping bigtime is 'cause Republicans want 2 make Americans so desperate & so demand off-shore drilling in Alaska & other pristine places! Basically Republicans r keeping Americans hostage! That's their final goal be4 they leave office:off-shoredrilling! U really think they want solar panels on houses or windmills! They don't call themselves conservatives 2 conserve environment but 2 conserve their wealth! We need 2 think long-term solutions!

  • Obama pointed out, in his response, That what McCain was doing is below political standards. Obama is charismatic. What's wrong with that? We need a president that can bring people together to listen. McCain can't do that. Mainly because he has nothing of substance to listen to in the 1st place...

  • What was untrue? Lets see, Obama will raise your taxes, that's untrue. Obama wants to "lose" the war, thats untrue. Obama is responsible for high gas prices, that's untrue. Obama neglects the veterans and McCain does not, that's untrue. McCain might have said somethig true about cheese though. like "cheese is good." That wasn't about Obama though.

  • Fantastic speech! Exactly what the American people need and want! I love the fact that Sen. Obama will not accept contributions from big business! This means that when...WHEN...he gets into office, he will keep all his promises!

I copied the video and posted it in a bulleting of MySpace. I urge everyone else to do the same. The word needs to get out.

  • Good point!! I did the same as you, I posted this video in a bulletin :) Thank you!

  • Reza820: Why would you indicate that "Sen. Obama will not accept contributions from big business!" You really believe this? Haven't you heard of bundled transactions at big corporations where they get many employees to contribute. It means the same thing and it is not legal to contribute from corporations anyway. He is getting plenty of contributions from terrorist and Islamic groups and other foreigners which is much worse anyway as far as influencing a policy leader.

  • WOW! I didn't think anyone could be as naive as you. I'm sorry to seem rude, but what on earth makes you think this guy is anything but another politician? He does SOUND good, but all politicians promise the world--when they are trying to get elected!

  • Listen to me: at about 20 minutes in when Obama is talking about off-shor drilling and why it's a worthless idea THAT is impactufl. That is mind-changing. You need to just take that snippet of his speech and put it in a commercial -- no voice-over, imaging, or flag-background necessary. Go over the 30-sec. spot, it's worth the investment.

Seriously, you're getting REEMED about this off-shore drilling thing and undecided voters aren't going to youtube to see what Barack has to say. COMMERCIAL.

  • Reemed by a baseless, policy point that will mostly do nothing? I think not! Just because we open the oil to the oil companies doesn't mean they even plan to sell any of it to us. They are independent companies who could care less about you or me or this country. What do you think will prevent that oil from being sold to China or India?

  • you are absolutelt right

  • Europe for Obama! Some Americans just don't get it - USA won the cold world because of it's values, not with military might. Bush has done so much damage to America's reputation around the world that it's almost irreversible and if you Americans elect Mccain it's game over. You can't be a superpower if everybody hates you. The world wants to love America again!Vote Obama!Europe for Obama, the world for Obama, America for Obama!!!

  • ddcmay, you are absolutely correct! If McCain gains the presidency the U.S will be in BIG trouble!

  • I agree with you 100%!! :) :) CHANGE!!! We can do it America!! Don't be afraid!! We can do this!! I love the USA and I know we are so so smart and so many of us good people know we must have HOPE that Barry can help!!!

  • I want you to know that much of america agrees with you. Judge us not on our government. Barak will progress us forward. McCain has voted with bush 95% of the time.

  • DDCMAY,

He's GOING to win. I'm an independent and my choice has never lost in 30 yrs. Maybe I'm just mainstream. This yr I've given $400 to Barack and I've never given a $.c to anyone else.

He steps up EVERYTIME he's challenged. He get's better everyday. His campaign is the best we've ever seen.

Just let the Head To Head Debates start. Both sides will get their chance to FINALLY ARGUE FACTS instead of LIES that help each side.

No were to run or hide. Debates will final factor

  • The minimum wage increase has accomplished what republicans?Thanx to BushyBoy it has been totally nullified by the "fine shape" our economy is in (sarcasm).Minimum wage earners have not been helped at all.If nothing else they are further in the red than ever thanx to high fuel and goods costs.

  • I honestly don't believe that McCain has a clue that this election will largely come down to the state of the economy. He doesn't live in the real world and he seems to have no understanding of the plight of most Americans. We need a new direction for our country, now more then ever, we need America to be reborn so it will live up to its promise. It's time to make it happen.

  • Republican or Democrat.. no way anyone can feel that John Mccain is the right choice.. you may not like Obama.. but i mean.. geez!!

  • I just can't wait to see the live debates between Obama and McCain.

  • lol

  • Americans. lol hhahahah

  • If I hear one more person on TV so called talking heads say he has no substance they need to have the wax cleaned from their ears. Also we do not know him really give me a break. We know him the rich are just nervous. Go Mr, O.

    Bernie E.

  • Go Obama! no more lying cheating stealing war mongering closet gay republicans. (nothing wrong with being gay mind you, but when you hide it in the closet and make everyone else suffer cause you can't live with yourself, then it's a problem)

  • Remember, remember the 4th of November...:)

  • is great to be american cos of obama

    OBAMA '08

  • we believe in you the answer to your ?

    is yes you are

  • =] Obama!

  • so are you going to block my comment too? All because I have valid points and can answer all of the questions and issues that Obama has presented? this is a test as everytime I post a comment I get blocked. Seems like people on YouTUbe detest the voice of reason.

  • Great Speech, Obama being funny- don't see that to often

  • i like obama...so do Ameircan

  • OMG! This man speaks the truth on such a basic level. We really need "this" change in the whitehouse.

  • "No American left behind" Go Obama Go!

  • Obama 08!

America needs a person like him. He fits america. America is ready for him.

    Dont forget to vote!

  • Let's face it folks John McCain is on a downward spiral. What specific plan has John McCain given to us to improve our economy or one positive message since his campaign began? Barack Obama is transitioning from Presidential candidate to the first African-American President. It is my hope John McCain can leave his campaign behind with his dignity intact.

  • I think people should just keep quiet and listen carefully to his specifics and details instead of some unnecessary series of applause. That is how they miss details of his points. Then, they say he has no specifics.

  • obama is a politician telling people what they want to hear. he practices the same politics as every other politician because he is one.

  • did yall see that mccain ad ...

    WTF IS HE THINKING ?

  • Obama 08!

  • this is better than the dark knight

  • Ever notice how the topic of FREEDOM is not discussed or marketed.....,but instead the topic discussed is... SECURITY. Look at the podium. So what do you want America?

    Freedom or Security?

Are you willing to give up freedom for security? Bush has been taking away, by executive order, your freedoms, so you can have security. Will McCain do the same? Will Obama do the same?

    Security comes from unity....not legislation.

Wake up America....you are being deceived by both the major candidates.

  • OBAMA ..

    PICK JOE BIDEN AS

    YOUR VP !!!

  • W O R D .

  • Hope to see more of this in the future

  • obama' 08

  • Isn't it kinda cute how McCain supporters actually think McCain has a chance in hell of winning?

  • We can trust you in the future!

    Obama 08!

  • How can you talk about foreclosures and talk about the "fundamental promise of America" being that "if you work hard, if you do what you're supposed to do.." obviously financial responsibility and paying your mortgage are not things you're supposed to do. You are entitled to the American promise... a promise that government will bail you out when you've made bad choices

As a voter, you should understand the choices that you're signing up for... facts please! kalendello. blogspot. com

  • If Obama wins... the world wins!

It hard to admit that the US is an influence in the modern world, it is because of the current leadership. If Obama wins, the admission of believing the US is a great country will be far easier. I know I will not convince conservative people that's why it is up to grassroots people in the US to turn things around and stand firm behind the guy with the funny name and for change. You need is and the world needs it. Obama '08

  • I live in Springfield. Unfortunately I missed his speech. But driving down Sunshine after work I heard on NPR that there were 70-80 people at an "exclusive" fundraiser today who paid $5000 per person today.

I hope I got those numbers right but I thought "a traditionally conservtive, Republican voting, small city offers nearly a half-million dollars to 'Wild Bill' Obama?"

Thank you Springfield. Can't hide my pride. Obama '08

  • I cant believe the continuous comments of Obama is all tie and no suit. We as Americans must first get back to our own standards and dreams, which is believe in our dreams, believe in ourselves and that same old tired thoughts of Obama is too different. America is different.

  • awesome speech!!!! yes we can, we can win this election. it's true mccain is just trying to scare people about obama, that's no true president.

    GO8AMA!!!!!!!!

  • This is a sincere speech. Give it up for Obama! Save our Planet. Go veg. Be green.

  • I cant understand how people DONT want to vote for him. First leader in a while who isnt interested in the rich people of this country and wants a real fix on our structure as a nation.

  • IF America is honest with itself, the choice this November couldn't be easier.

    OBAMA '08

  • i cant believe they tried to compare Obama to Britney and Paris. At least if you are going to use celebrities use some celebrities people care about. So pathetic.

Go Senator Obama, I will be seeing you next year.

  • Oh, I so agree. That ad is the most ridiculous, childish, stupidest ads I've ever seen in my life. McCain should be ashamed of himself for approving that ad.

  • ...a pretty childish campaign ad if you ask me.

  • rediculous isn't it.

Mccain says he is more expirienced.

    more mature...

and he is sitting on his couch comparing barack to britney spears. and apris hilton. my question is, is this attack supposed to make McCain more expirienced. To me barack looks like the adult and McCain the spoiled 11 year old. I picture a kid typing in "yea well at least im not like Britney spears and Paris Hilton"

haha its sad that McCain would stoop this low.

    Obama '08

  • next year?

  • This is one of the best speeches with specific solutions for America. It is too risky to NOT change.

  • GREAT speech. Even McCain supporters need to see this. He's a real guy. He's funny. He's ready for this country.

  • This is the best speech. Everyone getting involved. You can feel the enthusiam

  • Welcome home 08AMA.

    NOW...............Lets speak truth 2 lies.

    Fired up?

  • READY TO GO!

  • And they say Obama is not specific!

  • America!!!! Let's wake up!!

I don't care for dems or reps, I'm voting for a person who will give us change!

  • "It is too risky NOT to change." Amen.

  • The One and Only :-)

  • Most americans know who to vote, those negative adds on Obama are nor intended for educated americans but to those who are not educated that dont know obama well.

  • This man understands what America is all about. It will be a sad day in America if he does not get elected.

  • "What they're gonna try to do is make you scared, of ME!"

  • The last hope for AMERICA!

  • This was held at my high school!

  • We were so lucky to be present at this event! "It is too risky not to change"... priceless!

  • the color on this video is messed up. its all green and yellow

  • Obama 08!

  • wat a freak every few secounds he gos "uhhhhhh.."

  • Clear, concise analysis....bold, determined solutions.

    Obama '08!

  • President Obama!

  • i shook his hand at that :D

  • amen Mr President

  • Obama 08!

  • why sepia tint?

  • If Malikie is not willing to allow the scheduled election to take place in order to prevent the almost certain Sadr victory in Basra how will the Basra section reply? Will Malikie or the Bush/Chaney attempt to attack Iran or Basra sections in order to delay the Basra elections until after our November Election?

If al-Sadr demands a total withdrawal in Iraq in 2009 will we pull out all Backwater fighters?

  • Barack 08!!!

  • wow... i love this man.

  • Nice! We need President Obama's pragmatic, logical approach to the problems of our nation!

BTW-the quote today should have been: You know, I don't pay attention to John McCain's ads, although I do notice he doesn't seem to have anything to say very positive about himself. Maybe he just has nothing positive to say about himself."

  • all the best barrack

  • is this a camera from the 1960s

    this looks terrible....

  • great speech, but why does this look like an old sepia photograph? I kinda like it, gives it an older feel, reflects on how we'll be witness to a truly HISTORIC president.

  • Damn!

  • I like how he's becoming more familiar rather than formal. Still professional, but more relaxed. Keep it going, we need a free thinker.

  • Yes we can. CHANGE IS NEEDED TO KEEP USA FRESH AND ALIVE

  • it's about balancing the economy and tax code.

  • cool videos!

  • This election is a no-brainer, I would be disappointed in America if we don't elect this man.

  • i pity this man at times, he doesn't understand the kind of expectation pple have of him, from USA to Kenya , from peace in Israel/ Palestine to women's right in Arab world, and human right in Sudan to corruption in Indonesia/ and Africa. from de-nuking Iran to proving hope for immigrants lukin for better life. i won't be surprised if he is asked to settle a land tussle or clan fight somewhere in Africa.

i pray for long life to see how this Man will solve these, all these.

  • no, he has already said multiple times it's about us. I get your point though - there will be uber high expectations. But really all he's doing is allowing us to live up to our best. Bush did not do that.

  • "Why not small businesses?" XD. Obama capitalized on that question perfectly. =D

  • obama may seem to have issue(s) but it is not enough or concrete to be a reason not to vote him.

can anybody convince me,even one solid, rational reason not just, not to vote obama but reason to vote mc-cain.

i believe obama has seen the other side of life - being poor and black, he can't afford not to be excellent.

  • Obama in 08!

  • Freedom Unites Children keep note

Obama 08 he will be our future and our childrens. god bless obama ! he can do it with us doing it

  • I like how Obama keeps it real in his speeches

  • The essence of genius is simplifying the complicated !!!!!

Obama speaks the truth, thats why he will be the next president of the United states of America.

  • That mainstreet and wallstreet comment makes so much sense!! This guy is amazing!!

  • Go Obama!!!
