Like, my school is expensive-ish (Give or take tuition is $10,000 in state, and about $20,000 out. Not including other expenses) But I chose the school I'm in because I wanted to go here. Also because I don't think any other school in my state has my major, but even if there was, I know my school has a very high reputation for it's particular field. So I weighed the pro/cons and attended.

Honestly, what I would love to see is these guys being given their (parent's) money back on the condition that they do a years volounteir work in a remote area of a country where there are many truely disadvantaged people, who lack even basic services that these guys take for granted.
They will be able to leave at any time, but they have to do the full year if they want their money returned. From the attitudes I have seen, none of these kids would make it.

Also, the only thing you are obligated to pay is taxes. The government decides the distribution of the wealth. Why not stop complaining at the people who came out of high school into a recession economy with a job shortage that will be compounded with increased costs for education, and actually start complaining at the government to pull the troops back, which is wasting billions of dollars, or even stopping no child left behind, a defunct program wasting education funds.

They have told me of the injustices of that country. they have told me about how their land was taken, how the doctors had no ambulances and had to cart their patients around by bicycle, and even could only leave the country with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Over here we have something called the University of California, with campuses like Berkley, LA, SD, Davis, and SB, all shining examples of how public schools can be superior to institutions that only seek to make a profit off of you.
The funny thing is that even private university professors denounce capitalism, which goes to show that education = enlightenment.

All languages have morphology, syntax, phonetics, and phonology. Studying and understanding those linguistic principles is what has helped linguists do things like going to 3rd world countries and learn how to communicate in their native or tribal languages.
