  • Where can you get the passphrase????

  • U sucks fuck you noob

  • does it work for ipad2

  • a passphrase is the name of the network you want to connect, me is gmenardsf but your as a different name... search in setting of ipod and wifi for find a name

  • What's a passphrase

  • whats mimi2?? wifi network????

  • so when i use wepgen i dont type in the Network ID???? i have to type in the passphrase? ..Now how do i find the passphrase?

  • wdf is the passphrase???

  • How can i get the passphrase?

  • How do you get the Web Phrase?

  • How do you find out the past phrase

  • how do you get the pass phrase? Plzzzzzz somebody tell me

  • I don't get it!!! Is this a joke??? For real, is it? Ur friend gave u the pass word, so how did u hack his wifi?? Did u hypnotize him or drug him and then tortured him so he'd give u the pass word? I don't get how u hacked his wifi if u got the pass word.. Unless hacking NOW MEANS u ask for someones pass word and they willing give it to you..

  • @trishmiller1999

I didn't hack my friends network. He set it up with a passphrase (in the router setup). WEPGen is not for hacking. It is a utility that gives you the password key from a passphrase. Since iPhone can't handle passphrases only password keys, WEPGen lets you get onto a network only using the easy to remember word/phrase instead of having to enter the long string of random digits.

  • Or the explanation is stupid or the app it doesn't have sense, since "my friend" give me the passphrase, why the heck should I pay $0.99 to ask him about the passphrase? I would rather ask by the password!!

What stupid way to spend my 0.99 fuck!

  • @pixelperu

Because the iphone cannot handle the passphrase. WEPGen converts it into the numbers that it needs.

  • The passphrase is used by the router to generate the password key - a long string of numbers. It is true that you can just type all these numbers in - no need for WEPGen. WEPGen converts the passphrase into the digits for you and stores it into the paste buffer so you can easily paste it into the password key entry in the wireless settings.

  • You guys (commenters) are freaking idiots. This is not for stealing WEP. This is a key generator because the person whose internet you are using is using a "passphrase" instead of a "password". The "passphrase" is converted to a hex key by this app, which gives you the actual key.

iOS doesn't let you use passphrases, so this app converts the key for you.

This doesn't let you steal internet. It lets you access your friend's internet once he's give you the passphrase.

  • @razordu30

Glad to see you 'get it'. It is hard to explain keys, passphrases and passwords. Thanks for your input!

  • CAN YOU USE THE WIFI NAME TO GET ON? BECAUSE THIS APP IS POINTLESS IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THE PASSPHRASE =\ dumbass

  • @YoungPhysko

The passphrase is from the router. It is an easy to remember phrase. But the iphone does not know how to use passphrases. WEPGen converts the passphrase into the long string of numbers for the iPhone to use.

  • @GotthardtDesigns how do you get the passphrase? can you make an app that takes the name from the wifi name and figures out its passphrase?

  • can you use the name/id to get in?

  • if I know the password, then why would i use wepgen??does it make any sense??

  • @mlovlyprsn

Because the iphone cannot handle the passphrase that the router has. WEPGen converts it for you.

  • How do yuh qet the passphrase???

  • how do you get the phase

  • It don't work

  • How can i now the passphrase

  • I download. But when I type in password it says I'm connected but no wifi bars come up.

  • on your one already on mediafire it says "error 0xE8008001" when i try to put it in

  • dude can you put this on mediafire . com and give us link to download

  • what the hack with that long password?!

  • How do u find the passfraze

  • Wots a passphrase

  • The passphrase is the can be the mac addres aswell you can find the mac addres by download wifi analyzer with cydia

  • Hey I can't find it plz help

  • WOW lol it accually worked

but when i open the web page it says not connected to the internet

  • WOW lol it accually worked

  • when in settings the wifi had 1 bar when you joined it had 3 bars... wtf

  • how do u know which one to use the 64bit or the 128(104) bit plez tell me how to do this kk thanks

  • @BzM0Dz You can't always know if 64 or 128 - that is why there are choices - the most often used key is the first of each type (64 or 128)

  • @GotthardtDesigns oh thank u but i still dont know how to use it what is a wep phrase

  • What? I thought this was supposed to help hack a network, if you already have the password how does that help?

  • Addendum To The Former Network The_Passphrase_Is_A

  • Just Log In Invicible Network At Your Location Anywhere in This World. Network Name: The_Passphrse_Is_A

    Passphrase or Password : AAAAAAAAAA

Then You go With Unlimited Range Of Network Plus Unlimited Power Charge

    Yo Your Personal Computers.

This Network Are Widely Used Intercontinental Via Sattelite.

  • Can someone please tell me what a pas phrase is.

  • It doesnt work i tryed alot of time where do u get the pass pheash

  • thnks

  • if the password is Dookie why hack it?!!!

  • how do you know its 128 bit or 64 bit????

  • how to use it on 2wire??? what's the difference between 128 and 64 bit WEP key???

  • WTF IF YOU KNOW YHE PASSWORD WHY WOULD YOU HACK IT????????????

  • @skelterdevil

He knew the pass already and he hack it.

  • How do you know the password it's dookie

  • @Youzersef

This was given to me by my friend who set up the network. He chose the passphrase 'Dookie'

  • how to get the passphrase?? please answer me

  • @Elosmania123 Get the passphrase from the network owner. The owner is the one who chooses the passphrase.

  • Common Question: Where do I get the passphrase? The passphrase comes from the person that sets up the wireless network. The passphrase is a short word that is easily remembered (it is case-sensitive). My buddy set his network up with the passphrase 'Dookie' - he just made it up (OK - it is really a name of a Green Day album).

  • How do you find out the passphrase? someone pleese help

  • what is the passphrase plz respond

  • How do u find the wep passphrase

  • only for iphone or also for ipod touch ??

  • @MrBabsiej It works on the touch - I have tested it on mine.

  • How would you know Dookie?

  • @7sevo7 Dookie comes from the owner of the wireless network - he just choose that word as the passphrase when he was setting it up.

  • @YunhoxLoverx you can get it if you have a jail broken device with one of the Curia apps

  • where van i see what the passphrase called?

  • I understand your directions, but how do you know / get the passphrase without asking that person directly ?

    Please reply soon !

  • @YunhoxLoverx

Without asking the owner of the network? You would have to guess it. Wepgen is not a cracking app

  • @gotthardt Yeah..I have tried many guesses and they all failed.. So i pretty much gave up.

Plus their network name is like dondon99...so I really don't know.

  • How can I get the passphrase without asking? Because I want to connect my school's wifi. Please help me

  • how did you get the WEP passphrase

  • EVERYONE BETTER VIDEO THAT MAKES SENSE GOT TO /watch?v=S_WFfmnj5wo&feature=fvwrel btw its not mine but i found it helpful

  • ok i got into one...but when i go to the internet it says im not connected why is that?

  • @5Andres1Smiley2

You may be connected to the wireless router, but the router may not be connected to the internet. The router may need to be rebooted.

  • this makes no sense, network ID is green day and password or passphrase is dookie. If i punch in dookie on my iphone it will work!!

  • @steven196767

This is an example - it only works on my friend's network.

  • how do you find out someones passphrase

  • Da bullshit!!! Cause I got da n it does work for me

  • If they would give you "dookie" how would you figure out what it is

  • How did yuh get the passphrase?? Can yuhh steal wifi from next door??

  • @Jaytecktonik808

Stealing - bad. Finding out who owns the network and asking if you can share - good. It can be hard to figure out the owner. But if you get the passphrase, WEPGen makes it real easy to enter it into the iphone / touch. When I go to my friends house - he just tells me what it is.

  • @GotthardtDesigns if he tells you wat it is wy do you need wepgen.

  • @MrJojogunther

Wepgen generates the wep-key from the wep-passphrase. You cannot enter the passphrase directly into the iphone/touch/ipad - they only accept the wep-key. You can enter the wep-key yourself - it is a long string of hex-characters that are not always easy to remember, whereas the wep-passphrase (like Dookie) is easier to remember and type in.

  • how do u get the wenpassphrase

  • how do u get the passphrase

  • @Jaytecktonik808 yh totaly

  • lol dookie

  • i dont understand why you need wepgen if you have the passphrase "dookie" cant you just type that and get on???

  • @MMAFIREFIGHTER

You need wepgen to turn the PASSPHRASE dookie into the PASSWORD that the wireless network and the iphone uses. The password is a long string of hex digits; hard to remember if random. The iphone/touch can't handle the passphrase that most routers use to generate a password - wepgen can. Most people that setup a wireless network with WEP security (wepgen only works with WEP secured networks) use a passphrase (like dookie).

  • @GalaxyGrind You should ask your neighbor for the passphrase. Don't just try and jump on their network without permission! WEPGen just makes the passphrase into the password so that you don't have to type in a bunch of numbers.

  • Ok then, is it the name of the network, or the pass? cuz i wanna use this for my schools locked Wifi:)

  • @DevilHuntar - If a network is locked, the network owner may have made up their own passphrase. The passphrase is rarely the network id (at least the owner should make it that way!)

  • Ok so it does accept the key but I get no wifi signal and shows up as if I had 3G only

Please help me!! What can I do??

Anyone answer as fast as possible

  • Where do you get the pasword:S

  • can u do 2WIRE520 for me

  • @raiderslife28 I can't find a way to make that work. If I figure it out I will post it. They seem to have their own way of doing passphrases.

  • can u do 2wire 520 for me

  • can you do 2wire 520 for me

  • hey man where do you get the passpharse ?

  • i have a bit of a problem . When i connect to the wifi network and i try to go to a website the screen turns dark and it says "connecting..." and it just stays their can u help me out with that??

  • @f***Theilluminati187

This means that you have connected to a network, but that network is probably not connected to the rest of the internet. You may see this if you connect to something like 'hpsetup' - you are just talking to a printer, but the printer is not a gateway to the internet. Consider that wifi network dead to the internet. WEPGen can open the door, but the room may have no other doors.

  • To start, i think this is a brilliant app, just a bit confusing. i've seen other videos where they insert the name of the network and use the conversions to log on. how come they can get it to work with the network name but you say you need the passcode? is it just because in those cases, the passcode is the network name as well? i'm confused

  • @kevinthemathgeek

You are correct that some network owners just use the network name as the passphrase - this is lazy and exposes their network to access by someone who easily guesses that. If you own a network, you should make the network name and the passphrase different.

  • excuse me sir, if you dont mind me asking...

if you ALREADY know the passphrase, then what would be the use of using wepgen?

just to get a hexadecimal conversion generated or what?

lol im pretty sure you can login with just dookie..

now wheres that vid of wifi hacker?

  • @s2Productionz

That is exactly why I wrote WEPGen - you CANNOT just login with dookie!

Without WEPGen, you must know the long string of hex digits and type it in by hand. There is no passphrase converter built into the iphone. With WEPGen, you put in the passphrase (like most routers support) and get the hex password which you can just tap with your finger and it is copied into the pasteboard which you can then paste into the wifi settings password (or paste into other program).

  • @GotthardtDesigns

Thank you very much for this clarification! Now I see its use. woot

  • @GotthardtDesigns what is passphrase?? i want to try it with my network and all i got is the network name and my network password?? and wut is passphrase =XX

  • @donhealyou

A passphrase is not the same as the password. A passphrase is used to generate the password. The password is usually many numbers. A passphrase is a simple word that is easy to remember. Wireless routers can use WPA and WEP encoding. WEPGen only works with WEP. When you set up your wireless router, there is a section that asks for a passphrase (only if it using WEP). Enter the passphrase and the router will create a password. Use WEPGen to convert the passphrase to password.

  • but, if you don't know the person? what to do then? please pm me ._.

  • @sindrebanan

If you don't know them, you shouldn't use their network. I think it is a felony to break into someone else's network ( I am not a lawyer..)

  • How do you know what the passphrase is?

  • If the owner did not set up a passphrase can I set it up now

  • Comment removed

  • All you do is DL eWifi from cydia (jail broken) then go in, find your network, then if it is WEP type the name in WEPgen. Then copy paste into eWifi

  • Comment removed

  • wat if you dont knoe the person ?

  • @Seikcoh66 If you don't know the person who owns the network then maybe you shouldn't be trying to use that network. Maybe you can figure out who owns it by the name of the network?

  • How do u know tha passphrase??

  • @ColeAndTyler21 The passphrase is created by the person that owns the wireless network and uses it to generate the WEP password. If you know the person that owns the network, ask them. Passphrases are similar to passwords; they are not given out to everyone.
