The horse wouldn't have realised until it was too late. Who knows what the horse was thinking? Why run ANYWHERE and not anywhere else? And maybe because the horse was pregnant it wasn't allowed to have a good gallop, so it wanted to stretch it's legs and didn't realise it had run onto ice. Sadly, a pony in Germany didn't had so much luck..

Someone frightened the whole herd and they broke out. The herd has been found..but a white pony mare. She then 2 weeks later has been found frozen in the water.

Whoever cut the fence and had fun chasing the horses shall rot. -.-

this same thing happened to my coming 3 year old paint filly last november, but it was a river and thankfully the water was only up to her belly. she still got stuck and had to be pulled out and lemme tell you, she was COVERED in bad cuts from thrashing in the ice, and my filly wanted to give up after like 20 minutes. this girl was quite the fighter!
