  • fuckin a, damn straight, you have it exactly they way I'm gonna do mine when i get my turck in a couple years!

  • Did this void your warranty?

  • @HOOLIGAN218 - no

  • @HOOLIGAN218 - no

  • How did the mods affect your EGT? Did you have the EGT installed before the mods? If so, how much of a difference did the mods make?

  • @herk1952 - Unfortunately I did not have the gauge installed before the deletes. The deletes do a really great job keeping the EGT's lower.

  • u gotta purdy moufff boy

  • for stock muffler that sounds great

  • Well yeah, ripping all that shit off actually lets the engine breathe. The things that Cummins would say to you after straight piping... exhaust filters kill any engine.

  • Did you have an exhaust hose in your garage or are you just down with the whole live, breathe, diesel thing?

  • OPEN THE GARAGE DOOR DUDE

  • Hey, I am new to diesel and I was just wondering do u revert it back to stock when comes time for emissions or how do u go about emissions testing?

  • @liu41285 - in Missouri there is no emissions testing for 3/4 ton trucks and above. That is the reason I deleted everything. I checked with my local DMV before tearing everything off and they say my truck was exempt.

  • DEAR HOW ARE YOU CRAZY, THE NEXT TIME IT IS STARTING TO YOUR TRUCK, OPEN THE GARAGE CAN KILL YOU CO2.

HOW MANY U.S. AND WIN HP UNLOADING THE CATALYST AND EXHAUST MUFFLER OF MY DODGE RAM 5.9?

    THANK YOU

  • Do the 07 dodge 6.7 diesels come with 6 speed automatic transmissions? if so, are they reliable tranny's or shitty?

  • @theteenbodybuilders - All 6.7L cummins come with the 6-Speed Tranny. I absolutely love the 6 speed. I think it is a very durable transmission, super smooth and it has excellent shift points.

  • @lawnguy06 ok that's good. are there other problems with the engine with exceptions of the dpf and egr...i heard the injectors aren't very good and go out after 100k miles or so... also, how much did all the deletes and chip cost ya?

  • @theteenbodybuilders - i have heard nothing but great news from people I know that have 6.7's - most of them already have 80-120,000 miles on them without a single problem. My truck has 40,000 miles on it and the only time it has ever gone to the dealer is to get a water pump replaced that went out at 36,000 miles. The 2007.5 truck had a few problems, but the 2008-2009 trucks are flawless. Everything I have done with the truck cost me $1,500 - order mostly everything from KLM Performance.

  • lawnguy06- Thanks for your quick response... Really appreciate your video and advise... Can't wait to have that shit off of my truck!!! thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 20-23 on the open road? would it change if one was pulling a trailer?

  • @TheRudeClown - it gets 20-23mpg on the highway all the time which I love. I have even seen 24mpg on the highway when I had cruise control on at 65mph ---- with a trailer on the truck it averages about 15ish MPG - which is a lot better then the 11-12mpg it would get when it had the emissions crap.

  • @lawnguy06 Thank you for your kind response. I have a 2001 ram with a 5.9 Cummins and 5 speed. and i'm thinking of putting stacks on it along with other tricks.

  • @TheRudeClown - I love the sound the old 5.9 cummins make - I wish the 6.7 would idle that loud. I hate that they make them quieter every time they come out with a new motor. Those new 6.7 powerstrokes are super quiet - I heard cummins is coming out with a new engine for 2012, diesel magazine said it is a twin turbo Inline 6 with NO DPF emmisons crap 400hp and 800+ ft.lb of torque on a 8-speed tranny.

  • I own a 2009 - 2500 6.7... I am about to have all of the deletes done as well as using the smarty device... Any problems so far since you did the video??? Also, Is the EGT gauge something that is highly recommended to have installed??? Only want the best for my truck... Thanks for any advise that you can possably give... Thanks

  • @mdspear107 - No Problems what so ever. I did a ton of research before buying everything and I couldn't be happier with the results. It's worth EVERY penny in my opinion. The MPG gains on my truck alone were worth it and the power increase is very noticeable when driving or pulling a trailer. I had the EGT gauge installed because I pull my bobcats around and I want to make sure my EGT temps stay in a safe range, which they do. You will LOVE your truck even more once the emissions shit is gone!

  • do you have to run a dashboard tuner to run all of that ?

  • @randytune88 - Nope, I just plugged in my smarty and let it do its magic. dashboard tuner free and code free. very happy with the smarty.

  • @lawnguy06 so if i do all the egr and dpf delete on my 6.7 i wont have to have one some idiot said if i didnt have one it would make my truck run outa wack.

  • @randytune88 - if you don't use a tuner and you do the deletes your truck will go nuts. That is why I got the smarty because it re-sets the onboard computer to run with the egr and regen turned off so that way the truck doesn't throw a code or go into limp mode. I love the smarty because you just plug it in, wait for it to download the info, then unplug and then your set. Do the same set up I did and your truck will run flawless. Trust me - you will be so happy once it is done.

  • @lawnguy06 alright cool yeah ill try that soon im possibly going to replace the manifolds with a 2nd generation too. i just dont like running alota tunners and dashboard mods but if its unplugable right after thats fine with me thanks for lettin me know i was a little loss

  • I ve had the 230 tune on my 04 5.9 and it's perfectly fine I had the 230 on my megacab 6.7 as well with the s67 and it's good the 68rfe can take alot of power and is reliable. I had my dpf in to and the 230 is fine for the trans n everythin

  • Nice vid! Im getting ready to do the same deletes on my 09 3500. On the egt gauge, did you just take the truck to any shop and have them do it? and where did you get the srt-10 pillar?

  • @TrueVikingsFan Thanks - I took my truck to a shop to have the gauge installed - I highly recommend it. You do NOT want ANY shavings falling into the turbo. The SRT-10 pillar I got from KLM Performance. KLM is where I bought ALL my deletes and smarty - excellent customer service and lowest prices.

  • you are going to have a clean and cool inlet manifold now .

  • @rb26capri - I was blown away when I took of the egr cooler off and saw what looked like shinny pieces of metal - like a dusting of metal - same thing was in the downpipe and DOC - can't figure out what it is. The inlet manifold was also covered in soot. I cleaned the inlet manifold before installing the block off plate. After all the emissions shit was removed the truck finally feels like it can breath! I will say it is worth the money, and I am enjoying the boost in fuel mileage and power!

  • @lawnguy06 if you have shavings in there you should hav a look at your turbo!

  • @rb26capri - hellbent performance did a very nice job installing the EGT gauge. They drilled the sensor hole with grease on the drill bit and used magnets to catch all the shavings. Even after they drilled all the way through the exhaust manifold I was happy to see that their were NO shavings that had fallen in. That's why I took it to have it professionally done.
