  • Who'd have thought the finest beer and music pub night out would come from from Canvey Island ? Gutted I was too young. Remember Milk And Alcohol in the charts though. Memories.

  • Magic band. Seen them live 3 times in a small club in Halifax and they were brilliant. Stil one of my favourite live bands.

  • What one would call ' Proper Rock '.

  • He doesn't actually have a harmonica, you know... he's just doing a weird thing with his hands and mouth LOL.

  • @MrGraphis he does tho . .

  • Classic, thanks for posting

  • Classic

  • This lot would have been brilliant as villains on the Sweeney.

  • Saw them in Leicester UK in the 70's Awesome

  • Remember seeing them in 1975 on "Granada Reports" enthusiatically introduced by a young Tony Wilson. I rushed out and bought "Malpractice". I had seen the future of Rock 'n' Roll and it looked like four off-duty solicitors clerks having a dinnertime pint. If you find their last album with Lee - steal it because it sounds as good as their first. Cheers for putting this on

  • what a beat .

  • SIMPLY FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Would anybody be able to tell me what kind of harmonica he's using? Mine's a C harp and some of the notes he's using don't appear to be on it. =P

  • @Liolar43 It is probably a G Blues Harmonica, I think the song is in the key of G which is probably why you are only hitting some of the notes. Good Luck.

  • @ipsguitars Thanks very much!

  • @Liolar43

If the G Blues Harp is ok, try the song Help Me buy Sonny Boy Williamson

  • Velhos tempos... :)

  • You better be waiting baby when i get baaaayack

  • Perfect

  • Unbelieveable ! :)

  • you must love the performance of lee what a legend

  • love it top song ROCK N ROLL ; ))))))

  • i preffered the band aftrer Wilco had left!

  • @rockerbox1973 - ARE YOU MAD?

  • @mikthechippy

No just biased against big head guitarists

  • @rockerbox1973 What, with Mayo? You really are mad. Gypo was a great guitar player, but he was'nt Wilko.Watch Oil City Confidential.

  • @banjaxed31 Wilco just copied his playing style from Bo Diddley and Mick Green from The pirates(wilco admitted this!) so i prefer to stay with the true masters and not just some wannabe.

  • @rockerbox1973

And your true masters copied from people before them. That's how music (and all the arts) works: you copy a little from people before you and build it up into your own style (but it's still got the marks of other people).

  • @GWC1975 Exactly! I`m with Buddy Holly at the moment..

  • This is so awesome that I think the word "Awesome" was invented JUST for it.

  • 2:05 onwards, fucking brillyunt

  • one of best bands of the 70s magic!!!!!!

  • Nice one hd230. You have posted the clip WITHOUT those two fucking nme music critics rattling on about fuck all before the main band get rocking. And i dont know if you know the clip im talking about, its mark ellen and that other fucking poof, and that stupid cunt has the nerve to actually say "musically, i dont think its all that great" or something similar. Cheeky bastard. What the fuck does he know? Wanker.

  • Fuckin Raw..!! Awesome track from one of the best bands these shores have produced..

  • Considered one of the biggest influences on Belfast Punk, by the Belfast punks ... my favourite track by the good Doctor ...

  • Lee and Wilko were both amazing in there own ways, Wilko's guitar technique and stage manner. Lee's almost intimidating presence as the lead singer. There's so many things good about this band, they influenced so many people

  • Fucking top class!!!

  • DR FEELGOOD.....CHECKOUT OIL CITY....THE FANTASTIC FEELGOOD DOC/FILM ON BBC iPLAYER BEFORE THEY TAKE IT OFF.....IT IS FUCKING ACE...

  • Lee and Wilco were both strong personalities. I am grateful that they remained together for as long as they did. Both were essential to the band as events showed.

  • Thanks a lot for sharing, my friend.

  • Wilkos guitar sound is fantastic, the song is really simple and you just cannot help to at least tap your foot or else jump around like a nut!

  • Ouch ! God bless and Rock and roll feeds...

  • wilco was such a big influence for punk rock & the new wave - good to see this again!

  • Fabulous! Pre-punk punks, like the NY Dolls were. This is great stuff... and much better than er, Roxette the 'singer'.

  • The real dr feelgood, lee and wilco are great

  • What can you say about this band Dr Feelgood except EXCEPTIONAL and not many great things come in life at once but this is definitely one extraordinary aura band!

  • Wow! What a quality! Thanks a million! Wilko is divine.

  • Thats the real Sound, yeah.

  • simply a great record, thats so dammed catchy.

  • have seen them in switzerland, they were great

  • the very best of british!..wilko is soooo cool!!

  • Este viernes, día 24 de julio, en el festival de Blues de Cazorla. No te lo pierdas

  • wilco on lead and lee on vocal un effin believeble.what a sound,,,,

  • What can you say. Perfection.

  • Indeed. One word.

    Also: Feelgood. ^_^

  • Everybody fucks on about Wilko..LEE BRILLEAUX is and always will be DR.FEELGOOD...R.I.P...LEE.x

  • @Deuteronomy100

Both are essential to the feelgood, without either the band wouldn't have had half the impact.

  • @Deuteronomy100 Watched them in 1976 (I think) Winter Gardens Penzance brilliant live band one of the best live groups UK ever had...sadly overlooked but unforgettable...music was in your brain the next Morning at work! lol

  • @Deuteronomy100 Agree 100%

  • @Deuteronomy100 can you blame people for going on about wilko he is fucking immense

  • @Deuteronomy100 I agree, Wilko was something else though, but even Wilko admits Lee was the real driving force and energy behind the band.

  • This is what it's all about. The best and most violent looking people ever to become musicians.

  • Wilco and Mick Green of the Pirates are the tightest guitarists ever.

  • Fucking tight!

  • speed kills

  • They are extremely cool. This song inspired pop/rocknerd Per Gessle to name his group Roxette.

  • superb! I'm so thankful for this great music...Lee Brilleaux briljerar

  • Probably the best song i've never heard, love it

  • nothing beats Wilko Johnson live! the studio records never gave him justice.

  • The guitar and bass are fucking great on this track.

  • "Down at the doctors" is the best of dr feelgood!

  • I've got the original Sneakin' Suspicion myself, and you can see the "C" and "EY" of "Canvey" on the sign either end of "Alibi" because of primitive Photoshop techniques.

I live right near the Canvey Club myself, my friends family own it.

  • It's an excellent album, you're going to enjoy it a lot.

  • i think you may have misunderstood me. What I was saying that for the Cover of Sneakin' Suspicion they posed outside a club in Canvey Island called the Canvey Club, but used photo-trickery (this was pre-photoshop of course) to make it look like they posed in front of a fictional club called the Alibi club. If you look at the album cover carefully you can still read the real name of the club. Maybe they were inspired by the venue with the same name in Helsinki?

  • For the cover of one of their albums (Sneakin' Suspicion), they changed the name of the club they posed in front of to the Alibi Club.

  • Excellent! This is wat rock 'n roll is about!

  • Absloutley Brilliant!

  • Great band! only just got into them! found out they were one of paul wellers favorite bands. pure class! why are they not more well kwon

  • You should also check out Wilko's solo stuff.

    Keep the faith.

  • Wilco no para quieto, está como una cabra. Pone la misma cara de loco que Jorge Martinez. Maravillosa actuación.

  • Utterly awesome.

  • just spot on

  • Lee, Wilco, Big figure and John B Sparkes look fabulous in this video. These guys really knew how to entertain.

  • Fan fuckingtastic. Wilko is a legend, RIP Lee.xxxx
