  • buying a monte carlo next saturday :D idk if its the Z34 or LS yet but i really hope its the Z34

  • @wajeh77 How do you not know? I wouldn't buy a car without knowing what it is lol. Hopefully it is a 98-99 Z34 they are they best ones out of that generation.

  • Dude. No. Why would you want to make the motor cool when its designed to run at 180F? Its at its best performance at that temp, too much cooler and you premote engine sludge. Your coolant temp has nothing to do with tranny temp.

  • man i have a 99 z34 it shuts off at 110 which sucks ass i want it to go faster i am buying new gadges that go to 155 but will it do it idk will the engine shut off at 110 still???

  • @dtrip09 GOVERNOR

  • @Rgthuggin88 Nope it has been tuned and removed.

  • @dtrip09 i have a 99 z34 too mine gets to 105..

  • Don't bash american cars. These Monte's aren't awesome during the lower rpm's but once they get to about 4500+ they REALLY move. Also, I'm with you Buchanan. Those noisy little imports cant keep up for long. And about the temperature thing - the description says hes in canada. Its probably cold. I live in georgia and ive never had a problem with my engine temperature getting too high.

  • Well, the 3800's are actually known for their good low end power too. I'll admit, the high end is nice too though. From my dyno I cross the 200whp line once I get to 4900rpm and never stop until it hits 6500rpm, so you are right. There is good top end power too in these engines :D Nice car btw Buchanan!

  • Why is your temp gauge always low in all your vids? Fix your thermostat lol

  • Screw that it's nice when it is low then it keeps the motor cool. The other reason why it is so low would be that I only just started up the car a few minutes before the video was taken. Also, alot of my videos were taken in the winter and up here in eastern Toronto, Canada it usually gets to be around -10 most days. Still it fucking moves pretty dam good weather the motor is hot or cold.

  • @stopindecentvidremov my cutlass with the 3.4 would always run at that temp when im flying on the highway.

  • Why are Z34 Montes so slow? They're acceleration doesn't seem to be that quick at all in the videos I've seen. I figured that with the LQ1 engine in them, they'd be a little quicker.

  • This monte has a (L36) 3800 in it not an (LQ1) 3.4 DOHC. This car isn't exactly brand new either. It is 11 years old and has 290,000 Km's on it. I wish it was a bit quicker too.

  • Oh. I can understand the age and mileage bit, but even with the 3800's similar horsepower and much better torque, you'd think the car would move a little better.

  • Well I must say it does hold it's own. It has beaten a couple cars in the past that I wouldn't think it would. The best is the guys in the civics and toyotas with big apple juice can mufflers who rev the shit out of there car and really go nowhere.

  • EXACTLY!!! lol. They're just bark, no bite. See, that's because don't have that American torque!!! Even with high horsepower, those little engines have to rev high and hard to make any use out of it XD. Hell, Lumina owned the shit out of a cocky little Saturn driver once, lol. I know that Saturn is actually part of GM, but it's still an example of shitty torque. I mean, come on! I was driving a '92 Lumina with a 3.1, lol!

  • Because this monte can fly.

  • Kph instead of mph?

  • Yep. At least you are one of few people who are not Stupidified between KPH and MPH.

  • haha yeah. its kind of laughable how some ppl are like "WHAT?! monte carlos cant go 200 mph!!" haha dumbasses :)

  • Yeah I get it all the time in my videos. Why does your dash say 180? LOL. I just say it is a super monte it needs to have a speedo that high because it can go that fast. I can tell right away when I see a video if the dash is in Miles or Kilometers. Most of the time if it has higher numbers, it is in kilometers.

  • that odometer goes up to 180...why?
