@angel62489 alright now!!! I honestly love it and still use it when I blow my natural hair out or when I do other folks hair. It truly is a great flat iron in my opinion
Hey, How are you? I just ordered one from Amazon for $65.00. I am glad I waited to get one. I saw Ateya's video on it. I said, I better wait awhile to see if it would go cheaper. But nice video.
If you want a professional straightener and you are ok with spending around $140 I would highly recommend the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it heats up to 450f, tourmaline ceramic plates with rounded edges which makes it great for also curling your hair. If you do look at other irons make sure to stay away from irons with painted plates (colored plates) these can damage your hair. You can buy from My Hair Styling Tools or Hair Products Pro. Good luck and I hope this helps.
@lafeil no it has a different nozzle on it, but My Chi blowdryer has a comb attachment. I barely use it though, I use the other nozzle and a round brush to blow dry my hair with the Chi.
Your hair looks great! I want to get that iron and the blow drier. Im actually curious about the brazilian blowout that you mentioned. How long does it seem to last in your hair? Do you use it to extent your relaxer? How does it seem to be working on your new growth?
@dhaggans18 The Brazilian blowout lasts 3 months and some change for me. I use it in place of a relaxer. I have not been relaxed since Nov 2009. It works well on my new growth. My new growth is much more manageable with the BKT than it ever was with relaxers. My new growth has slight waves in them now that are easily straightened with a flat iron.
and thanks for the compliment. by the way I still use my Chi blowdryer. I cant afford a Izunami Blowdryer too.
@ibqtubu Thanx for the info! Ive found the dryer for $100 on hairsisters and claihair. Is the treatment costly? Ive seen estimates starting at $350. It seems like an investment
@dhaggans18 the treatment cost me $150. basically less than a set of micro-braids. But I do advise you really check out the person that you get to do your treatment, and talk to some of their clients and set in the shop while they are doing it. If they are good, they should explain every step of the process to you. One caveat thoug, you will have to change your shampoo and conditioner. Sulfate and sulfur eats away at the treatment faster. Thats why I switched to Carols Daughters

@chrisychris2 Well, I'm in the Army so I don't really know what the AirForce or Marines basic training is like. I also work at an Army Basic Training unit right now, and i think the program is designed better than when I joined years ago. I think that you leave basic training more equiped to go to combat.
That being said, you are training to go to combat so the training is intense and there are difficulties and challenges, but the biggest challenge has to be getting over yourself.
@chrisychris2 PT2 of comment...if you can get over what you have learned and grew up with over the years of your life and learn to trust you fellow Soldiers and your Drill Sergeants, and do what you are told instead of rebelling against the system, You will be fine in any basic training program that you go into and any branch of Service. Good Luck to you honey.
I think she got hers for free, but i'm soooooo ready to spend money on flat irons, i wanna get the chi and the ghd, fhi, lol whatever they are! lol cuz HOT TOOLS ain't cuttin it no more lol
@Rubyeyez21 yeah, the money was worth it for me cuz for me "good hair" is healthy hair. and I am trying to keep a head full of it, and I like low maintance since it already takes about an hour for me shampoo this thickness.
@ibqtubu ooooo I know how you feel, It takes me about 3-4 hours for me to do everything i need to do to my hair, and I use my instyler, it works just fine, but i blow dry my hair BONE straight
@muffinismylovers I agree. I value the opinions of gurus I can trust as I always say, I need a real honest opinion, not a robot telling me to buy stuff because they got it for free. ibqtubu, your hair looks fantastic!
Your hair looks great!!! I"m thinking about buying this flat iron. I figure I paid almost as much for my chi, so why not. You mentioned that you get the brazilian blow out in your video. I've gotten the blow out a few times, but not in the last few months. I've heard several hair dressers say that the blow out breaks your hair in the top. I personally had never experience the breakage, but they really made me start questioning whether I should continue going. Do you have any breakage?
@shortybang10 nope, no breakage from the blowouts. It is helping restore my hair after the breakage and damage my edges received from relaxers. Put with this I don't always have to blow dry and flat iron my hair to get it super straight. On or the other will do fine. With relaxers I was doing BOTH to straighten out my hair every other day.
Alright x-army diva. 7 more yrs and I'm with you!!!
