LOL, yes, there are ALOT of medical reasons to have c-sections. I know this not only because im a nurse, but my baby almost died when i was in labor for thirty hours and still only at a 4 and a +4 station, i was on a HIGH dose of pitocin, his heart rate dropped to a 5, thanks to the c-section they had him out in less than 5 minutes, prep time and all.. some women cant give birth naturally, we were the ones that died before c-sections were available.

I don't want a c-section either. I really hope that people AND doctors will start realizing that women are meant to give birth and just because one woman takes longer than another doesn't mean it's time for a c-section!!

Very nice account.

It is good that the Mothers wishes were able to be fulfilled but sometimes thats not the case. After all a healthy baby at the end is the priority.

But there has been an awful lot pressure on women to have C-Sections (not all medical based) in the past and certainly "natural" childbirth is the best but C-Sections are a viable option and sometimes necessary.

Congrats, man. It's always a great feeling to be a parent. I thought drugs at that stage is harmful for the baby. I love to be a parent one day but not at this stage in my life. If I get to be a parent, I'll make sure that I'm able to give my full commitment.
