look actually i have another problem...i used to play assassin's creed and dead space on quality 1080p....now it works on 720p...i did the display settings and i have unmarked 720p...it worked on 1080p but not the quality of 1080p...it worked according to the quality 720p....so what is the solution of this issue???????????

My av cables work but not my hdmi for my coby tv combination doesnt work i get a black screen no signal and it does say 720p 420 but when i hit a button on my ps3 controller it changes it to 1080p.

@myscoopetofastforyou - Samsung-1-800-SAMSUNG (1-800-726-7864) i got samsung too so tv only sees the ps3 if the signal is compatible signal to that tv like 480,720p,1080, swap out hdmi cables or tv inputs does hdmi cable box work on the same input as ps3 if hdmi cablebox does but ps3 doesn't on the same tv hdmi input then it's PS3 issue, so try resetting ps3 again or call sony

@myscoopetofastforyou - it could be samsung input issue or cable connection but 1st connect ps3 to another 1080p tv or connect hd cablebox to that same hdmi tv input you had ps3 to, troubleshoot 1st to narrow the problem down to the suspected issu. 9 times out of 10 its the ps3 issue but you can be that 1 out of 10 rare case its the tv or cable cord issue. trace the issue down, (i do this stuff for living for close to 10 years.)

be carefull if you do that with component cables a 1080p signal could cause damage to a 720p tv .. mostly for those rear projection guys out there.

@MegaScotty777 - a/v yellow/wht/red cables default resolution is 480i so this only works for hdmi cable make sure cable & connections are good. but if you have universal component cables like red/blue/grn then move the switch to (hdtv comp.) like shown in my Wii best settings vid on my channel.
