Iraq was not a Muslim country before the invasion. The religious nuts were kept out of government, now they're in. Obama never said the Iraq war was wrong because it was an invasion to a Muslim country. Of course you can't expect Fox News to correct him on that. We do NOT need a "discussion" about Obama's middle name, the discussion we need is why we're wasting $340bn a year on a profitless war, destabilizing the region, empowering Iran, and not going after Al Qaeda effectively.

Five times a day isn't all that much by the standards of some other sects of major religion (some of the christian branches instruct worshippers to pray 100 times a day, coptic christians fast for about 200 days a year. Let's define brainwashing? E.g. prostrating, turning off the brain and humming religious verses over and over until there is nothing else left in your mind. Islam means submission, don't forget. Submitting your mind to the teachings of Islam. I don't want to defend any other religion, but there is a difference between this sort of daily practice and for example a regular Christian mass, where you listen to some guy bombarding you with his views once a week.

The latter could be called indoctrination (as long as criticism isn't welcomed) and I don't defend it. But there is a difference. And granted there may be other religions and sects that use some form of brainwashing such as Hare Krishna and even Christians, but if thats the case it's still all brainwashing.
