For timelapses, activate offline mode on your server and use a third-party authentication plugin to force authentication for all IPs other than the one your timelapse-machine will be running off of.

I would assume this is legal seeing as you already own a copy.

@spakwee I did mess up lots actually, even with MCEdit. The construction explanation was extremely simplified - I skipped the many times where I said: eh that looks like crap - delete all - load schematic before all that work was done - start over. Or: hey, what if I did this - add new stuff for a while - have to recopy around all 4 sides again. Etc, etc. But the simple fact of it is, if I hadn't used mods there would be no cathedral video up right now. Thanks for being logical, btw. :)
