    SHIT

  • Sade meets King Crimson.

  • this is amazing. i kind of wish they didn't end in a major key though.

  • @wyliexc Oh. Really? I treasure that moment when the song changes key, although I could listen to that ending on a loop for at least an hour.

I love harmonization with no lyrics.

  • wow this is so enchanting. i love this version.

  • If PBS wants to make a network comeback, they should really just be playing this 24-7

  • what a god damn ending!

  • was that steve nash on the flute? man, the lockout has been hard on everyone.

  • That second part of this song.....no words to describe it!!....AHhHHAHHHHH, AHHHH, AHHH, AHHH. AHHHH, AHHHHH, AHHHH, AAAAAAHHHHH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH, AHHHHH,l AHHHHHHH, AHHHH,

    AHHHH, AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH, AAHHHHHH

  • I nearly cried, her voice is heaven sent.

  • @Thebritsym What stopped you? It made ME cry. And I'm a manly man....

  • My...God. Nothing else like it could have or ever could exist!!! Incroyable

  • I sit transfixed

  • what an incredible voice *tear*...

  • Finally. St. Vincent is in the realm of King Crimson and Frog Queen-era Jeremy Enigk as far as progressive, layered, technical music that has within it a restless weird heart. ::swoons::

  • I usually can't make it through this video without tearing up. Gets me every time!

  • this is amazingly beautiful and so is she...

  • I'm sick of these "superstars" that get all the attention and they're pure shit when they sing live. But, someone who is actually talented like Annie, doesn't get the recognition she deserves, and she can actually play live.

    Fuck it all!

  • awesome..!

  • EYES

  • i wish the AHHHHHHHHHS would just never stop. ever.

  • Beautiful music

  • One person wasn't invited to the party.

  • Gaah, that was brilliant! So AmAZing.

  • 3:16 to 5:53....wat a magical melody. and not to mention the harmony...they're going far

  • That last part puts tears in my eyes ....And I'm a manly man!

  • @vivelavidarocka-I can say the same brother. I saw this on TV last night while i was tripping and just thought man...life is good..God is good....the tears in my eyes added cool effects to my trip too lol

  • Who the hell is that one guy to vote down?

  • @RoscoSnipes A Lady Gaga's fan...

  • i want to be her guitar

  • god.........amazing

  • oh FUCK WHY THE FUCK IS THIS SO FUCKING GOOD UGHHHHHHHHHA;WOIRGH284GHAW;IFHAW;OIFEH

  • I LOOOOVE this song.... Yeah Annie. Stay away from mainstream. Keep delighting us with music nobody else likes but us. WE LOVE YOU.

  • ive just realized why she isn't as famous as a lady gaga or some other shitty pop artist its because they couldn't and won't be able to compete at the level she is doing it with her music and she would be on michael jackson or top elite status so she remains indie only us, the select audience would find her

  • I crank my video of that song performance at least once a month. In a word, rapturous.

  • these. vocals. are. amazing.

  • It astounds me how she she is not More famous? As she is Clearly Talented!

    Grossly over-looked. Hmmm!!!

  • @Jackbite69 I think I know why she is not more famous. I saw her perform at a show in Montreal and before she did her set, she came out to help set up the stage after the opening act left. She does not give off a superstar vibe (yet) and she is very down to earth (I met her after that show - believe me, you can talk to her). Too much talent and niceness in one package does not always sell well...

  • Im so impressed with her music...its almost mesmerizing. shes almost mesmerizing.

  • Im so impressed with her music... its almost mesmerizing.

  • @mrfredflintstone85 Almost?

  • i so want the audio of these performances.

  • annie's so creepily mesmerizing. but it's wierd, because in interviews and clips of her just talking, she seems like the nicest, lightest, la-dee-da, smiley girl. which makes her all the more mesmerizing.

  • check out the animated grizzly bear music video on my channle if you like them

  • Six minutes of beauty. I was starting to lose interest with this girl but this might have pulled me back in.

  • harmony at the end = bliss

  • Yeah indeed she's fantastic live. I saw her yesterday at Central Park (there are some videos here on youtube already) and her show is breathtaking. Truly a musical genious.

  • she. is. fantastic. live.

  • Brilliance!!!

  • Where can I download this version of the song?

  • In 2010, this in the only band that matters. Thank you for so much beauty.

  • An outstanding performer!!!!!! Saw her on January in New York City and this song made me almost cry! The band is just out of this world.

  • @horizonview89 Shes got a free show on August 1st at the Central Park summer stage. Should go check it out.

  • Rocking the four-part harmony at the end- very nice!

  • i can't think of anyone not getting the chills with this, it's so beautiful it makes me want to cry..

  • First exposure to her was when she opened up for Andrew Bird. I've never been in a crowd so hushed, completely transfixed by what they were watching. Every last person in that room was mesmerized. I remember this one being my favorite of the night. Positively blew me away! So ethereal...

  • the end of this is mesmerizing

  • Besides being her number one fan, I am so jealous of her beauty! She is so perfect!

  • magnificent.

  • I first saw her when she opened up for Death cab For Cutie in Boston, MA.

Let me tell you... She was breathtaking.

  • Mark my words: It won't be long until people start writing love songs for this lady in youtube instead just comments.

    I'm on my way there...

  • This song overwhelms we with beauty. Tears in my eyes it's so enormously beautiful. Simply amazing.

  • amazing preformance

  • I saw St. Vincent last night live at The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. Brilliant, beautiful, creative . . . the music is transforming. I consider myself privileged to have been in that audience.

  • They've renewed my faith in creative music. Every track from ACL is fantastic. Voicings and harmonies are spell-binding.

  • My five year plan now includes opening for this band, and having Annie show me her record collection, and maybe the original garage band files she composed Actor on!!!

  • Garage Band!!!!? hahahaha

  • @BillyMusic89 ditto!

  • @vagqws me too. I live in chi town too and just so you know, theyre here feb 18th

  • never heard of them before! that was so beautiful!

  • OMG... creo que me acabo de reconciliar con St. Vincent después del desafortunado concierto de 15 min en París.

  • Wow! What fantastic comments! It's really nice to see that there are still people out there who enjoy thinking about music and not just letting it run mindlessly in the background. I am also emotionally provoked by the a cappella coda. I hope Annie's muse will stay with her for years to come.

  • Voodoonobs, I agree. I have played the disk for two weeks now. They are coming back to Milwaukee in February. I'm there.

  • Saw this on TV...bought the CD. Haven't been able to stop listening ever since. Love the Dmaj7 to Dmajb5 Annie. Haven't been so intrigued since I was a child and realized that when I went underneath my blankets, I owned my own darkness.....

  • @voodoonobs holy pretentiousness

  • I think this was the most touching tune of their performance for me. I practically melted at the vocal breakdown.

  • Totally gnarly performance. Wonderful mysterious sound.....reminds me of the yeah yeah yeahs.......
