Seinäjoen 'Lakeudenristin' ympärillähän elää vielä tarina siitä, miksi A.Aallon oli piirrettävä sen torni niin korkeaksi. Kirkon sijoituspaikkakunnasta oli käyty kädenvääntöä Seinäjoen ja Lapuan välillä (käymättä yksityiskohtiin) - valmiin tornin oli sitten kuitenkin 'näyttävä Lapualle asti'.
