i have the same... it is horrible after 1 year of use i noticed my hair breaking off more and i use it on the first setting :'(

It worked well the first few times but then i thought i was doing something wrong so i watched the video and stiil the same results... now i use an ionic flat iron... so much better... "one pass" in 1.5 or 2 inch... spend your money on that!!! It's HOT!
