Couldn't agree with you more. I was born in '94 and I remember MTV was just starting to get shitty around the time I was five or four. What I'd do to go back to the '90s and see how Reznor was such a huge influence back in the day, especially in a post cobain world. It sucks that today, there NO bands like NIN, at least not the Downward Spiral days. For crowds, I attended Lollapalooza two years ago and people were just standing. Hell, you'd have to train to survive the self destruction tour.

I'm glad he's gotten past that point in his life, but that tour. My GOD, the raw power and energy just hits you like this wave, and before you know it, the entire crowd is just as wired and fired up as he is. I was there in Portland, and we went De-Fucking-Stroy during Gave Up. It was the most intense 5 minutes of my life. When the dust settled, I and several others were bleeding, a guitar was impaled in an amp, and a keyboard was EVERYWHERE. Good times... good times. Gotta love NIN.
