Great job and a goodlooking finished product Bro! Keep up the good work.
It`s odd for me to see the Big Machine being run from right to left, I guess because I was taught years ago to run mine from left to right, but to each his own. :) Different strokes for different folks.
no no thank you. I love to watch videos like this becouse it helps me decorating my apartment wich I'm doing myself. I was wondering how much do US installors charge for the whole hardwood floor job (no material). In my country Croatia they charge about 1.5$ per square foot.
@sucurac1 Prices here range anywhere from $1.50 - $4.00 per sqft job site and conditions depending. I hope the videos have helped in some way and it is good to know that we are supported in Croatia! Drop us a line anytime!
so the prices are similar. I have put a spruce(ship floor like, impregnation, polyurethane, gel, and one more polyurethane) in my living room, and epoxy in my halls, kitchen and dining room! it' not over yet but I could send you a video when I'm done.
sure, when I finish everything wich probably won't be for another 2 months, but I could send you some photos at your email adress as soon as you reveal it.
What's your opinion on layers that I put on spruce(1.impregnation 2.polyurethane 3.gel 4.polyurethane).
Great job. I am sure a lot of you "PROFESIONALS" do not even know how he square the room off and started.
Comments like too slow, the applicator is not good and I am better than you,I can hear every day. The bottom line for you guys wach the video a few extra times and lern the" OLD SCHOOL. "
And for the guy who comment on the roller, you should know that every manufactury will have or recommend a type of applicator. NWFA is a source for beginners like you
There are a lot of factors that determine how a job is done in someone's home they live in.
I used to install 300 ft a day by myself, 600 with my assistant. I went by NOFMA standards only. The crap merchants put a lot of pressure on the business to do things wrong.
Old school, like this job shown here, is almost always still the best way to go. Nice work!
I love hearing from the other true pros out there! All that you say is so true! It is up to us, you and I, to maintain an artisan's level of achievement in our trade. We may not be the fastest, we may not be the absolute best, but we are very good at pleasing our clients with spectacular flooring jobs and a level of customer interaction unmatched in this field! Thank you so much for watching and please feel free to comment on more of our videos! Have a truly pleasant day!
First off, thanks for watching! Second, this is a Clarke American 8, which is a 220v 30 amp machine. Third, it's not a painter's roller. As for the speed, what can I say, we got it installed in a day and a half. Have a great day!
get an old seat-belt from a junk car and slide over the hadles on the "bigmachine" American super 8. what a back saver and frees up your hands to operate the drum and navigate your cord leaving the holder to get back to work. If you want to spend some money on the belt lagler makes a nice one I have it on my hummel it is so much more comfortable than the junker belt. Keep on flooring brotha's!
What a good idea... I used a belt for a while that came with my machines but had a close call on a landing one time and haven't used it since. I like the seat belt idea though... I do like Lagler and Hummel... I actually use both when I am teaching because they are so much easier to teach someone on... Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching! Keep grinding!
Aight.. I acept u apoligy ;) and yes it is a 220 power Clarck sending machinemmm see, the thing is that i'm so professional and perfectionist that , I don's accept mistakes.. :) undestand?
Good work, next time try racking out the whole room up to the wall and both guys nailing and it would be much quicker, your 45's need short handles too. But good work
nice job and smart marketing. I'm a CA homeowner and wish to know 1) can you recommend best nail gun (model no. appreciated) to rent (I hear Stanley)?,
also 2) also for 3/4 inch solid brazilian cherry over 5/8 plywood over original 100+ y.o. redwood/douglas fir flooring, what size staples wood you recommend?
Thanks, we appreciate it. We actually use several different finishing techniques depending on the look the client is going for. We also lambswool and "T" bar when applicaple. The roller is very effective for most OMU finishes, but not all. Thanks for watching!
