  • this skunk seems smarter than his owners

  • Awww what a cute little skunk =)

  • three grown men playing with a skunk in a hotel room just seems weird to me

  • i love skunks, but why does this guy seem so perfectly matched with a skunk LOL

  • A very nice video =), I wish I had one too^^

  • Michel Mephit? Bungeeskunk? You people have very furtunate names. :)

    <3 Skunks

  • What kind of diet will make a skunk smell vs not making it smell? I'm just really curious about this because I never seen pet skunks before, it never crossed my mind before.

  • OMG sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cuuuuteeee!!!! especialy at 3:55 to 4:00 when he's being tickled, it looks like he's laughing :)

  • cool story bro

  • They are legal in NJ but there is only one legal breeder to buy them from. Unfortunately the laws are so strict so basically they can't go in public. They are great home pets though. Pbs has great documentaries on them. Thanks for posting your video-5 stars

  • WTF?

  • Cute animal with his own personality! I love his name. Got any updates on how Basil is doing?

    :-)

  • they dont seem to like to play, it seems they prefer to stay alone on their own

  • @Shorty20122012... There are rabies vaccines for skunks. I've had 3 skunks... we have 2 now. They are sweet and gentle... and everyone in the world should own one.

  • aww hes so cute !!!

  • I would love to have a skunk...they seem so sweet and gentle

  • Yes, I heard they are just like cats when domesticated :)

  • Looks like the dude with the red stapler from Office Space. check 0:39 seconds LOL

  • GOOD CALL! Its Milton. Great video-skunks are awesome

  • i wonder if ther legale in the state of PA?

  • Yes. You need a permit and buy from a licensed breeder.

  • i don't understand why we cant have them in every state. they are practically like a cat and a dog.

  • it's because there's no rabies vaccines for skunk bites..........

  • Actually there is a serum to treat a bite from a rabid skunk... I was bitten & treated.

  • @texannbama Yes. It's easily treatable up until it's symptomatic, which usually takes a few months.

  • Actually, there IS a rabies vaccine. In Canada it's firmly accepted, in the US it isn't. So if your skunk bites anything in the US, they put it down to check for rabies. In Canada, it's treated like any other animal bite if the skunk is vaccinated.

  • @Raithor83 A skunk is just like any other mammal. They don't "carry" rabies. They have to be bitten and infected with rabies before they can give it to you.

  • theyre legal in every state.... i have 3 and i live in south florida

  • No. No they aren't.

  • they are legal in florida but only with a permit.

  • Check your facts moron...they are NOT legal in every state....

  • my stupid state wont let me have one! Boooo!

  • Move then. It'd definitely be worth it.

  • IM NOT ALLOWED TO MOVE "*MOCKING* I'm to young..."

  • probably becuz u are... ur willing to change ur life and lose everyone at home for a skunk...

  • OMG He is SO cute! I've thought for a while about getting a skunk and am still thinking LOL! I mostly want to wait until I OWN a home to get one as right now I just rent. Where did you get him? What is dietarily important for him?

  • Skunks eat mostly fruits & vegetables. Some people use cat food, but too much is definitely bad for them.

Do a Google search on "skunk ownership by state". They're illegal some places, others you need a permit and so on.

  • my great grandpa had one named stinky and he also had a raccoon named rocky. so cool!

  • I WANA SKUNKY!!!!

  • Are they soft?

  • dude i was all ways afraid of skunks i still am but how the heck

  • I've wanted a pet skunk for years, but I never know where to go get one.

  • YAAAAAA we are going to need you to move to the basement! and get yourself a can of bug spray!

  • i believe you have my stapler?

  • do skunks smell at all?

  • These skunks don't smell at all, unless you don't feed them proper diets.

  • They are really clean; Comparable to cats.

  • that looks like the guy from office space : )

  • one thing i heard about skunks: like ferrets (and most other members of the weasel family) skunks lack the homing instinct that dogs and cats typically have that enables them to find their way home. unlike dogs/cats, skunks keep going ahead and wont turn around. if you let him out, WATCH HIM so he doesnt stray out, otherwise, invest in a microchip or tracking collar (like those used with dogs/cats) to electronically track him if he gets lost.

  • I have always wanted a pet skunk....

  • Unfortunately...they;'re illegal to keep as pets in many areas..

  • Not many areas . . . :-) It is not illigal in whole Europe & most parts of USA for example

  • Too bad Skunks are illegal to own, keep, or house temporarily here - I forgot how beautiful their tails are, and how mellow they are.

  • ROFL i was going to say the same. He looks like the guy from office space. ROFL!!

  • hi i have a few questions were did you get her and did you remove her skunk sc so she wont spray ???

  • I believe you have my stapler.

  • Gah - you ninja'd my comment by a month. Damn you, time traveling ninja!

  • can i ask something.its really cool having a skunk as a pet but, doesnt it make that stinky smell thing sometimes??

  • Most people get their skunk's scent glands removed, but skunks will only try to spray their scent when they're really frightened or angry, so some people think it's unnecesary, though, the smell of frightened skunk can be unbearable.

  • very interesting. i didn't know skunks could be domesticated.

  • Yeah, they have to be imported (at least it does for me in canada) but there sent glans have to be removed. Id get one if I could :P

  • Such a SWEETIE!

  • EEEEE I WANT!! i wish we could have them here :(

  • I own a pet skunk..she just turned 1..to everyone who's talking about the scent glands, they are removed from domesticated skunks when they are born. My skunk is awesome..best pet ever. She's a big nascar fan.

  • where do u get them

  • you are lieing about information

  • SOOOO CUTE!!!!!! I love skunky poos!!!!!!!

  • I am having a pet talent contest on youtube please think about entering it. There are real prizes for the top three winners.

  • Are they good around dogs because i want one and i have a dog to. Text back and tell me please!!!

  • It's like a vegetarian kitty! Soooo adorable! (And yes, I know they're omnivorous. Hee.) I really want one, though...

  • How hard is it to take care of the skunk?

  • I wanted to see them get sprayed on lol.

  • Hehe, it takes a lot to get a skunk to spray. But this skunk can't!

  • im sorry .. but I definitely couldn't own a skunk like that unless he had a permanent cork in his buttho!

  • they all come that way when they're sold as pets

  • LOL it's Milton from Office Space...

  • That is one happy skunk! lol!

He's absolutely GORGEOUS! Look at that tail!

Such a beautiful animal! And I'm surprised how well behaved he seems.. but then again, he is tame, after all.

    Wow! <3 (I think I'm in love!) =D

    -TW

  • Awwww. He's so cute! And he looks so well taken care of!

  • Aww what a pretty little skunk. Can he spray still?

  • nope.

  • Aww! :)

I'm guessing he had to sneak him into the hotel since most hotels don't allow animals.

  • Actually this hotel did allow pets. :-)

  • Ah, that is a rare. I can't find any info on the Wyndham Jacksonville Riverwalk website about allowing pets. So I'm not sure if he can bring Basil to MegaPlex 6 (if he's actually going in the first place).

  • @bungeeskunk his tail looks quilled like a porcupine. it looks so cool :3

can you like... pet the skunk? cause i never accually went near one lol...
