Before this album their audience was limited; niche and either punk or UK. This exposed them to a rock audience and also foreign and they got huge. Before they were in a crowd with Buzzcocks, Stranglers, even Sham 69.
Hhmm..why didn't this continue to "I'm Not Down"? With the long time still left on the vid, it could've gone all the way through that and finished both songs without any problem...
The clash was way before my time and I still appreciate their music and respect them as entertainers. @joydivision808 it sounds as if you need to be a little more open minded about you music bro, and I agree it is a tad bit pathetic wasting your time watching shit you don't even like, instead of something you do like such as coldplay since you obviously get off to them.

@mundthedrummer-just a gag man always amazes me how 1-2 percent of people spend time listening to tunes they dislike yeah seen the Dead back in the 80s and 90s dig it.-I've come to the conclusion these 2 percenters probably were shakin with fear when they heard this and missed the like button
@seantbuckley88 hey man, couples guys from the Grateful Dead covered Train in Vain couple weeks back, Hippies know whats good, and the Clash are great. Those three are just dumb fools.
A whole new generation will be exposed to the message the Clash had to give us thanks to Rock Band My God I seriously cant see how anyone cant like the Clash barbarians I guess wouldnt Lets all turn our speakers up so loud and piss off someone
Self Titled "The Clash" album is the best. Some of the best and simplest music is there. Quite inspired. Personally I think it's the best punk album of all time.
Great song, but i can't decipher its meaning....at first i thought the four horsemen was a reference to the biblical four horsemen.. but it could be using it as a metaphor for the members of The Clash. They're warning everyone about oppression and the government but no one cares.
You!........You're not searching are you now..You're not looking anyhow..You're never gonna ride the lonely mile...or put yourself up on trial!!!!!!!!

The problem is that it is very hard compare albums of the Clash, everyone would say a different one because they are too good!!!
I would maybe say Sandanista! is the best, the others may say The Clash or London calling...
