A comment under Petula Clark's quelli che hanno un cuore (1964) video refers to lip-synching. Have also noticed comments under some of the 1960's French ye ye videos that mention lip synching, so maybe it was the norm back then. It's never bothered me when viewing the videos. But pretty sure this performance is for real. One of my very favorites.
I love Petula! One of the most beautiful interpretations of this song. Btw, I put my favorite version ever: Wilma Goich from Italy, you can find it on my videos (it's a video response here too) Thanks-!
Thank you Mourillio for uploading this - I remember the San Remo festivals very well as I lived in Malta at the time and had just started learning Italian at school. I loved those festivals especially the foreign international singers like Petula, Gene Pitney, Cher, Bachelors, etc - who sang the songs in Italian too!!! You haven't got Gene Pitney by any chance singing "La verita mi fa male" ? That was a favourite of mine!!! Thanks
Sung with much feeling and gusto! Direct, focused and invigorating...amazing she's English. She must've been a bigger star in France, singing like this! THANKS!
I bet you, somewhere, if you search far and wide, there is a song, style or language Petula Clark can't sing, but, "invece", I wouldn't bet a big sum. This is fantastic. Thank you.

I was aware of this song but first time I have seen it performed live. Absolutely brilliant. The hairs on my neck were standing up. Petula is magic.
