This is a great job of the FPD. I live here and have a lot of respect for the PD because they are very professional and dont take a lot of crap from people. If you are not from Florence, Alabama - shut the flytrap under your nose. It's a great place to live and raise a family. It is a university town. The police forces in this area are professionals. Those that are putting them down must have run afoul of the law and are trying to use this forum to retaliate.

@ChiefOak Very, very well said. I do, however, have to disagree a little bit about the police in the city. While driving, I often notice them taking advantage of the power they have on the road. Chisholm, Pine, Cloverdale, and Wood being the worst areas. Speeding horribly and using their lights to get through red lights (the flash them right before entering the intersection and turn them off once they're through)? Not very professional of them. Otherwise, they are very wonderful. As is the city.
