when i finished RE5 and watched RE revalation trailer i though that only characters what coud be final bos left Ada and HUNK but when i watched your tribute i remembered about Nicholai so yeah RE series wont die until they will make annother gam with Nicholai
Wesker may be the coolest Resident Evil villain, but Nicholai is the most effective, being the only villain to ever actually succeed. I kind of wish they had made a "Separate Ways"-ish game you could unlock in RE3 where you play through the story as Nicholai.
@Sanguiluna Nicholai more effective than Wesker in like........what?. Wesker reached more goals than any other villain in the series. Btw, Hunk did also "succeed" at stealing the G virus from Birkin's lab and he's still alive.
@bambambiguelou1 All of Wesker's previous successes were just means to an end, steps in a bigger plan for an ultimate goal--a goal which he failed to achieve in the end and got killed for it. And I've never really considered Hunk a "villain"; he's just a guy who's really, really good at his job, just like Chris, Jill and Leon, who just happens to have the crappiest employers ever.

Albert's demise in BH 5 is ridiculous, he was turned from a brilliant foe in the old BH games to a baby crying

And contrary to what the fairy tales say, you don't have to JUST be a hero OR a villain; that's fallacious thinking. Hunk isn't a villain because unlike Wesker and Nicholai he has no malicious intent; he's a working man doing his job, getting a paycheck for it, just like millions of other people. He's no more evil than the Enola Gay pilot.

Your logic is to be taken seriously. Do you want me to write a long list of all the goals Wesker achived in comparation to what Nicholai did?. What this guy achived was retrieving a blood sample from Thanatos and gathering combat data between zombies/Bow's and UBCS soldiers, that's it.
Nicholai I think had 3 different endings, the real ending or what Capcom goes by is the one were he escapes with the helicopter. Nicholai is still alive . . .
@masterchief56068 Before calling someone stupid you should play RE3 again and RE5 too, then you will see that in RE3 you can have different endings, Nicholai can be killed by Nemesis or getting the helicopter and in RE5 you will read in a file that the canon ending is that Nicholai took the chopper. If he escaped or got killed by Jill is unknown.

So, Nicholai Killed all the supervisors only to get more money? i mean he ran around in a city with Zombies and monsters plues Nemesis just to kill his Rivals...He is Almost as badass as Albert hope he'll be back in new RE games.

russian characters are so cool in resident evil but they dont get much atention and dide to fast sergei was awesome to but we didnt get to know him good he also had super strengh i think and that cool blade that he was cutting himself but he died to quick we didnt get to see what he can do without monster form! nice video 5/5! He must be dead, the nemesis ripped him in half pretty much. Unless you got that alternate scene where he escapes in the helicopter but originally the nemesis tore him up while he was trying to kill Jill.
the scene where Nicholai gets killed by Nemesis, that ain't the real ending.
Either Nicholai leaves with the helicopter or Jill shoots him with the rocket launcher and kills him. All I know is that Barry saves Jill and Carlos and they get out of Raccoon City is the real ending.
Some of that Wesker's Report shit they show like Jill and Carlos leaving Raccoon City without Barry's help is BS.
They confirmed that Jill and Carlos escape with Barry in a file in RE5 right? But still didn't confirm if Nicholai managed to escape. After all those years without a confirmation I hope Nicholai will be part of a soon re game.
Well if you play RE: Outbreak, U.B.C.S. operative Nicholai Ginovaef is trying to obtain a blood sample from Thanatos by shooting it with a capsule designed to draw blood into a vacuum tube. You can hear him talk after Thantos is done killing the mercenaries. After you beat the game, a cutscene plays after the credits, there are two scientists, one of them picks up the phone, you hear Nicholai's voice over the phone. So its okay to say that he's alive still.
@yeti112 yes, but in Resident Evil Archives says that Jill negotiated with Nicholai, and he escaped...so he is still alive, let's hope him and his rival HUNK will appear in RE 6
Nicely done comrade. Nicholai is my favorite villain from the RE series. He's like the Boba Fett of Resident Evil. He goes through Raccoon City filled as it was with all those BOWs and still managed to waste all the other supervisors with only a pistol and a knife for God's sake! How badass is that? lol, there are so many fates for nicholai in the game who knows? He ay have blown up in the car area, he may have blown up in the helicopter, he may have just blew up from the nuke, had his neck snapped by a licker, fallen out of a window and died. seriously he only lives in the helicopter 1 if you negotiate.
Yeah, I know the odds are stacked against him, but I like rooting for him all the same. I was just pointing out he's the only human antaganist in RE, who has an option of surviving. In the other games Irons, Annette, Krauser, Alford, and Wesker(Even though he comes back later) all die no matter what you choose to do in the game. Nicholai is the only one who has a surviving option. So I like to think he made it, that's all.

Jack Krauser=Nicholai Ginovaef, hmm. Never considered the possibility, since it doesn't seem possible. Nicholai is Russian, and as such, needs his Russian accent, which Krauser is lacking. Also, even if Nicholai were to drop his accent, why would he say 'Like you, I'm American.'? Nicholai isn't back in RE yet, but if they wish to keep me as a fan, they better bring him, Billy, Barry, Rebecca, HUNK, Carlos, Steve, and every other character who's alive and well with only one RE game.

that link is old, before richard waugh should be wesker but after reuc capcom choised Douglas to be wesker. yoko will be in re5, i read it in many websites, she will be like hunnigan. i am sure that saddler is in it, Ada toke a sample of him, i think wesker will clone him and the enemies in re5 looks like a combination of las plagas and something else, so its really possible that saddler is in re5

about Yoko i just read that she talks to Chris with a radio, in some scenarios of re outbreak we can see that outbreak is part of the main story (not like re survivor or re dead aim), we just dont which of the main characters survived but in re1 it was the same with barry and rebecca
Didn't think too deeply about that (like you did) but I meant that Krauser and Nicholai were similar and my last sentence was to mess with people...both are badasses, use knives, and are my favorite R E characters plus they worked for Umbrella at one point in time. It'd be amazing if the both of them appeared in the same R E game...too bad Krauser is dead, Nicholai may or may not be dead due to the way people played resident evil 3.
Yeah,Umbrella Chronicles didn't show Nicholai, but he's mentioned in a letter written by Sergei Vladimir.About his survival, everything is really ambiguous:Capcom didn't show him anymore, but on the other hand they never said he's"officially"dead.A document in RE Survivor written by Nicholai is dated October 6(so after the events of Raccon city)but someone say this document was actually mistranslated.that's all I know about him but I hope he will return in next games.he's my favourite character
Yeah, that letter was intriguing, but that document was translated as something else in the Japanese version. No matter what, all I want in RE5 is a simple mention of him, and confirmation of his survival.
In the US and EU versions, Nicholai is proven to have lived via Survivor, as you said. In the Japanese version, the last document is just signed by an 'Umbrella Commander'. However, I prefer seeing it that Nicholai escaped, and made a fortune. XD Capcom have considered bringing him back, though, so he may return. :D

XD Capcom also added him in Outbreak File 1, so that could be a sign that Capcom haven't completely finished with his character. There were rumours that he was in Res Evil 5, but they were proven wrong. A pity. Can you imagine Nicholai as the main playable character in a Resident Evil game? XD That'd be great!

I wish one of the minigames for Res Evil 3 would be playing as Nicholai, hunting down the other Watchdogs and trying to escape Raccoon. No timer, just like a sort of mini storyline. That would be great!
XD Yeah! Nicholai Chronicles. He has to kill all Watchdogs, kill Greg Mueller (scientist in Res Evil Outbreak), wound Mikhail (Nicholai being involved in Mikhail's wounding would be great!), and steal the G-Virus sample from HUNK.
^^ anyway, Nicholai wounding Mikhail and the name "Watchdogs" instead of Supervisors are not canon, they're only a suggestion of S.D. Perry in her RE3 novel. You know I'm a bit disappointed with that book, just because she changed Nicholai's personality so drastically (he looks like a crazyman there)...and then because she let him die in the end. I don't know what do you think about the novel, I really wish to know your opinion :]
Well, Watchdog was the original name for the Supervisors, but was changed in the EU and US to just Supervisors. SD Perry just went for the original wording. As for my opinion on the novel, I liked it. I thought Nicholai wasn't crazy in the book, just ruthless. Still, I prefer the game either way. XD

Aww beating Op. Mad Jackal with Nicholai, I've never made it! I'm not a good player -_- I only beat the game with Mikhail. that's also because I had RE3 on my old pc, and the game ran very slowly on it...so I didn't enjoy enough the minigame. Here on YT I saw many users playing very well with Nicholai.

Well, playing with keybord is just a fact of training. You can choose which buttons will you use: for RE games I used the arrows to move the character and some letters on the keyboard to ations (aim, shot, run...)
that was in the book, the book is diffent, in it nicholai was very crazy, he hate everyone and killed so many people (not zombies) and teammates in raccoon

russian characters are so cool in resident evil but they dont get much atention and dide to fast sergei was awesome to but we didnt get to know him good he also had super strengh i think and that cool blade that he was cutting himself but he died to quick we didnt get to see what he can do without monster form! nice video 5/5! He must be dead, the nemesis ripped him in half pretty much. Unless you got that alternate scene where he escapes in the helicopter but originally the nemesis tore him up while he was trying to kill Jill.

the scene where Nicholai gets killed by Nemesis, that ain't the real ending.
Either Nicholai leaves with the helicopter or Jill shoots him with the rocket launcher and kills him. All I know is that Barry saves Jill and Carlos and they get out of Raccoon City is the real ending.
Some of that Wesker's Report shit they show like Jill and Carlos leaving Raccoon City without Barry's help is BS.

Well if you play RE: Outbreak, U.B.C.S. operative Nicholai Ginovaef is trying to obtain a blood sample from Thanatos by shooting it with a capsule designed to draw blood into a vacuum tube. You can hear him talk after Thantos is done killing the mercenaries. After you beat the game, a cutscene plays after the credits, there are two scientists, one of them picks up the phone, you hear Nicholai's voice over the phone. So its okay to say that he's alive still.

@yeti112 yes, but in Resident Evil Archives says that Jill negotiated with Nicholai, and he escaped...so he is still alive, let's hope him and his rival HUNK will appear in RE 6

it says that he got in the helicopter but doesnt splain if the helicopter was destroyed or not
so Nicholai's fate remains as a mystery today

Nicely done comrade. Nicholai is my favorite villain from the RE series. He's like the Boba Fett of Resident Evil. He goes through Raccoon City filled as it was with all those BOWs and still managed to waste all the other supervisors with only a pistol and a knife for God's sake! How badass is that? I still believe he made it out of the city and got rich from the data he stole. It'd be awesome if they brought him and HUNK back. 5 S.T.A.R.S man keep it up. Dos Vi Donia Comrade Yeti112!

lol, there are so many fates for nicholai in the game who knows? He ay have blown up in the car area, he may have blown up in the helicopter, he may have just blew up from the nuke, had his neck snapped by a licker, fallen out of a window and died. seriously he only lives in the helicopter 1 if you negotiate.

Yeah, I know the odds are stacked against him, but I like rooting for him all the same. I was just pointing out he's the only human antaganist in RE, who has an option of surviving. In the other games Irons, Annette, Krauser, Alford, and Wesker(Even though he comes back later) all die no matter what you choose to do in the game. Nicholai is the only one who has a surviving option. So I like to think he made it, that's all.

He was part of the "Monitor" Branch of Umbrella,there job was to monitor suspicious activity among Umbrella Employees,and he was put into the u.b.c.s like other Monitor Members,He had 3 jobs,spying,destroying evidence and assassinations when nececary,all for a price,he seems to have a connection with Sergei Vladdimeir,who both came from the same country,

Jack Krauser=Nicholai Ginovaef, hmm. Never considered the possibility, since it doesn't seem possible. Nicholai is Russian, and as such, needs his Russian accent, which Krauser is lacking. Also, even if Nicholai were to drop his accent, why would he say 'Like you, I'm American.'? Nicholai isn't back in RE yet, but if they wish to keep me as a fan, they better bring him, Billy, Barry, Rebecca, HUNK, Carlos, Steve, and every other character who's alive and well with only one RE game.

Oh god, THAT link. Sorry, but that list is faulty and full of lies. Isn't Wesker voiced by D.C. Douglas, not Waugh? Yoko and Rita? Somehow I doubt Outbreak will ever be touched again, for the best, in my opinion. Ada MAY be in it, somehow I doubt it however. Jill WILL be in it, she is Bird-Lady. I have no doubts about that. Spencer has been seen in the TGS trailers, and Saddler? Somehow I finde it difficult for a guy blew to pieces by a R. launcher could return. I thank you for the link, though.

that link is old, before richard waugh should be wesker but after reuc capcom choised Douglas to be wesker. yoko will be in re5, i read it in many websites, she will be like hunnigan. i am sure that saddler is in it, Ada toke a sample of him, i think wesker will clone him and the enemies in re5 looks like a combination of las plagas and something else, so its really possible that saddler is in re5

about Yoko i just read that she talks to Chris with a radio, in some scenarios of re outbreak we can see that outbreak is part of the main story (not like re survivor or re dead aim), we just dont which of the main characters survived but in re1 it was the same with barry and rebecca

Didn't think too deeply about that (like you did) but I meant that Krauser and Nicholai were similar and my last sentence was to mess with people...both are badasses, use knives, and are my favorite R E characters plus they worked for Umbrella at one point in time. It'd be amazing if the both of them appeared in the same R E game...too bad Krauser is dead, Nicholai may or may not be dead due to the way people played resident evil 3.

Yeah,Umbrella Chronicles didn't show Nicholai, but he's mentioned in a letter written by Sergei Vladimir.About his survival, everything is really ambiguous:Capcom didn't show him anymore, but on the other hand they never said he's"officially"dead.A document in RE Survivor written by Nicholai is dated October 6(so after the events of Raccon city)but someone say this document was actually mistranslated.that's all I know about him but I hope he will return in next games.he's my favourite character

Yeah, that letter was intriguing, but that document was translated as something else in the Japanese version. No matter what, all I want in RE5 is a simple mention of him, and confirmation of his survival.

In the US and EU versions, Nicholai is proven to have lived via Survivor, as you said. In the Japanese version, the last document is just signed by an 'Umbrella Commander'. However, I prefer seeing it that Nicholai escaped, and made a fortune. XD Capcom have considered bringing him back, though, so he may return. :D

Hey, no problem! I'm just glad I'm not the only one who considers the Survivor document a sign Nicholai is alive. XD Capcom also added him in Outbreak File 1, so that could be a sign that Capcom haven't completely finished with his character. There were rumours that he was in Res Evil 5, but they were proven wrong. A pity. Can you imagine Nicholai as the main playable character in a Resident Evil game? XD That'd be great!

I wish one of the minigames for Res Evil 3 would be playing as Nicholai, hunting down the other Watchdogs and trying to escape Raccoon. No timer, just like a sort of mini storyline. That would be great!

^^ anyway, Nicholai wounding Mikhail and the name "Watchdogs" instead of Supervisors are not canon, they're only a suggestion of S.D. Perry in her RE3 novel. You know I'm a bit disappointed with that book, just because she changed Nicholai's personality so drastically (he looks like a crazyman there)...and then because she let him die in the end. I don't know what do you think about the novel, I really wish to know your opinion :]

Well, Watchdog was the original name for the Supervisors, but was changed in the EU and US to just Supervisors. SD Perry just went for the original wording. As for my opinion on the novel, I liked it. I thought Nicholai wasn't crazy in the book, just ruthless. Still, I prefer the game either way. XD

Aww beating Op. Mad Jackal with Nicholai, I've never made it! I'm not a good player -_- I only beat the game with Mikhail. that's also because I had RE3 on my old pc, and the game ran very slowly on it...so I didn't enjoy enough the minigame. Here on YT I saw many users playing very well with Nicholai.

Well, playing with keybord is just a fact of training. You can choose which buttons will you use: for RE games I used the arrows to move the character and some letters on the keyboard to ations (aim, shot, run...)
